All you need to do is collect three tokens from your chosen newspaper* between Monday 8th May and Sunday 28th May, to redeem a £10 unlimited* day travel ticket or a £17.50 unlimited* weekend travel ticket on Northern trains. Tickets are valid to use between Monday 8th May and Monday 24th July.
PS: kids can travel half price, so just £5 for unlimited day travel or £8.75 for unlimited weekend travel!

1. Tickets available for sale from Monday 8 May until Friday 14 July 2023. Tickets can be purchased up to three days in advance of travel.
2. Travel is available from Monday 8 May until Friday 14 July 2023. One day tickets are available every day for the duration of this offer. Weekend Rover tickets are available each Saturday and Sunday between Saturday 13 May until Sunday 9 July 2023.
3. Time restrictions: only valid on trains timed to depart after 0845 Mondays to Fridays. Valid at any time weekends and Bank Holidays.
4. Three tokens allow you to buy up to four Northern Day Ranger or four Weekend Rover tickets.
5. Price: Day Ranger - adult £10.00 each / child £5.00 each for one day ticket OR Weekend Rover - £17.50 each / child £8.75 each for one weekend ticket - no further discounts available. *Children 5-15 years inclusive.
6. Valid on trains operated by Northern only. This offer is not valid for travel on Transport for Wales, Cross Country, LNER, East Midlands Trains, Hull Trains, TransPennine Express, Grand Central, London Midland, Merseyrail Electrics or Avanti West Coast services.
7. Affix three tokens from participating newspapers to the application form and take to any staffed station within the Northern network. The tickets for this offer cannot be purchased on trains.
8. Completed application forms are valid to purchase up to four Northern Day Ranger or Weekend Rover tickets (must include a minimum one adult ticket) for the same day/weekend of travel. Photocopies of tokens and application forms are not accepted.

sorted byWhen you want the tickets do you have to buy them before travel on the actual day, or can you get them prior to the specified day?
Can see this covered in point one. (edited)
"Three tokens allow you to buy up to four Northern only Day Ranger tickets or Weekend Rover tickets which must all be used on the same day or weekend (depending on the ticket chosen)."
And according to point one you can purchase tickets up to three days in advance of travel.
