    Recommend to go for back screen one instead. Prime day will have the new ones on offer

    100%, switched from the original kindle to a paperwhite and I couldn't go back. Backlit screen means you can read anywhere in any lighting condition, and it's not the harsh glow from a phone screen.

    brought one of these used for about 5 locally found it too too slow and cluggy so sold it on.

    Not sure if they still do this, but earlier this year I traded my gen 4 and got £15 plus a further 20% off the new kindle, worked out about £50 roughly. I love it, use it even more with the back light.

    For me, it's the back light that is the game changer Vs a paper back. If I'm restless I can read a little without disturbing my wife with the lamp.

    Buying it to trade is a good hack.
