I know it's not the same but literally half a mile along Victoria Street is Westminster Cathedral and it's free in, lovely in there too and worth a look as an alternative

IMO it is wrong to charge for access to a church.

Bit odd to ask people who are in receipt of benefits to pay for something you give for free to people who have a certain job

Shame to give so much freebies to everyone except the ones who work hard and contribute the most...

Not trying to sound picky but why is it free for someone who is working while you have to pay if you are in receipt of benefits. (edited)

You do get 74% off if in receipt of Universal Credit.

Adults receiving Universal Credit will pay a reduced rate of:

    Adult - £7
    Family (1 Adult and 1 child) - £7

Simply show your Universal Credit letter upon entry.

Have to pay to get into York Minster too. Must be really struggling - think we might be seeing ‘please give £3 a month’ adverts soon to save them. Their massive coffers must be running dry.

I doubt they are struggling as much as people on Universal Credit.
