Wiggle currently have Vittoria Rubino Pro III 700c Folding Road Bike Tyres in 23mm, 25mm and 28mm for £11.49 + delivery. If you spend £20 or more delivery is free, so you can buy 2 for £22.98.

The 28mm version of this tyre is £13.49 at Chain Reaction which is basically the same store as Wiggle, so this may be a pricing error that will be fixed soon. ** Update 14/7/23. The 28mm version of this tyre is now also £11.49 at Chain Reaction.

These tyres were £11.99 at Wiggle 5 years ago and since then the price has rarely gone as low as this. I've done plenty of miles on Rubino tyres and found them to be fine, but some people find them to be sketchy in wet conditions.

'The third generation of Vittoria's high mileage classic, the Rubino Pro, now features updated ride characteristics. The casing is beefed up from 120TPI to an incredible 150TPI to offer a supple ride with low rolling resistance'.

After yet another puncture in the rain, I'm considering switching to solid rubber tyres from the 1920's... :/

oh, apparently solid tyres have been re-invented?

I'm no expert but have been using marathon and Durano Schwalbe Plus range for cycling around London for years and never had a puncture. This includes almost daily cycling over glass

SUMMARY: Good tyres for all but the best bikes. I'd definitely buy again ✅

I've done over 5500 Km on a set of Rubino Pro 28c's that I bought from Wiggle in Aug-2021 (4 tyres for £60)

They are on my Weekday / Commuter bike (GP5000's on my nicer Weekend bike!)
They've done amazingly well, with minimal problems over that time, despite going through all seasons on the rubbish UK roads, as well as plenty of Towpath and light gravel!

They definitely don't 'feel' quite as nice as my Conti tyres, but it's a lot closer than I would have guessed, and the P-resistance has been as good as any 'daily' tyre that I've ran.

They feel like they are getting near end of life 'wear-wize' but i'm pleased with that longevity!
I've still got the second set in the cupboard waiting to go on, but I might stock up with some more at £12 a tyre

Great info as usual, I have these tyres on my bike as they came with it and know nothing about tyres. What alternatives could I put on when the time comes?

Looks lovely. I have always ridden Continental Gatorskins, I wonder if these can compare on puncture resistance

If you search online you can find discussions where people who have used both tyres share their experience. I think this quote sums it up though:

'Apples and oranges. The Gatorskin is a hardshell tire that has the primary goal of preventing flats. Ride quality suffers. The Rubino Pro is a tire designed for high mileage with some flat resistance. Ride quality is better, but flat resistance is less'. (edited)

This deal more expensive but the tyres have graphene which I believe these don't and you get free inner tubes. This deal good if you want a cheap spare tyre. Heat from me

Think I’ll stick with my Vittoria Corsa Pro G2.0

They better than my post? I've been using mine for a year and no issues

Just googled them. Ranging between 50 to ,80 per tyre. Too rich for my blood. The ones o posted will do me (edited)

I need some new tyres, I normally ride to work or if day off I have about a 15 mile ride. Are these good for someone who does not ride loads?

Also the wheel size is 700x23c on the tyres I have (edited)

These tyres would be fine for the riding you describe, but there again any tyre that isn't really prone to punctures would be. You could buy a a pair of these Vittoria Zaffiro Pro Tyres from Wiggle and a couple of inner tubes for £20 including delivery and they would be just fine.

You say that your wheel size is 700x23c, but I imagine you are actually describing the current tyres fitted to your wheels. You should be able to fit 700x25c at least to your wheels, but 700x23c tyres are fine and Wiggle have this size in both Vittoria Zaffiro Pro and Vittoria Rubino at the same price as the wider versions.

The 28mm version of this tyre is now out of stock, so I've marked this deal as expired.
