Now might a bit of a talking point! Not going to be for everyone, but the price is awesome and they look loads of fun as a short scale bass. Both the single humbucker and 2x single coil options are £199 in either black, white or red.

Probably not for traditionalists, as they're a bit out there. I'd have one though... If I weren't saving for another acoustic guitar

Short scale basses are great for children or guitarists who want it to feel more like a guitar.

The sound is actually more bassy than a full sized bass because of how the shorter string can't do as many upper harmonics above the fundamental note pitch.

    You raise a great point.
I'm a guitarist, but do enjoy a bass. I don't play bass much at all, so a short scale is 100% more comfortable for me playing fairly infrequently. Not so much of a stark difference, I guess. (edited)

Buy from them about 2-3 times a year and never had any issue with them. In fact they use DPD and I like that so I have no issues paying their postage.

Note that there are two versions of this model — a higher end one with Aguilar pickups and preamp, and a lower end one with unbranded/unspecified hardware. This is the lower end one. Not to say that's bad — it still looks like a decent deal for £199 — but if you go on YouTube as I did to try and find out more about them, you could easily miss this as there isn't much info out there and they look almost identical.

Yip, that was one of my issues when researching. Hard to find out much about these. If the frame part came off I could use it to solve my lefty shorty problem but it’s hard to tell.

I quite fancy a bass guitar but not sure if I need a full sized one or a short scale or what the real difference is. I'm personally full sized

Hmmm, humbucker or single coil on a short scale bass? I suppose the humbucker here has a tap option. Best of both worlds then?

that shape is just disturbing - it’s a nope from me i’m afraid

at the £100 price mark perhaps as it’s short scale

    not voted either way x
