Quickly connect this portable drive to instantly add storage to your PC. WD Elements is an ideal companion for taking important files with you on the go.

For the hard drive to be able to be read and written to in both a PC and Mac computer, it must be formatted to ExFAT or FAT32 file format. WD Elements is pre-configured for usage on a Windows PC. Mac users need to re-format the drive to either EXFAT or HSF+J (for using it with Time Machine). Users can either use the Disk Utility app on their Mac or download the WD Drive Utilities software.

What happened to hard drive storage getting cheaper year on year, it …What happened to hard drive storage getting cheaper year on year, it does'nt happen anymore...paid £1 more than this for a WD 4GB Passport drive from Amazon several months back, supposedly a superior model. Oh yes, they've introduced "recertified" drives where you take a chance with your data if you cant simply grin & bear getting fleeced...

You got ripped off if you paid that for 4GB

    Will this work on ps4

Yes...just set up a recertified 2TB (£32) drive this morning(simple set up),works well...took an hour and a half to move approx 400Gb...tried a couple of game and all seems to be good.I intend using it for storing older games and will still use the console storage for current games I'm playing now but the option is there to pick whatever storage location you want to use...glad I bought one,my console was on its limit with the stupid size of some games. Quite tempted with this for my Xbox. Although the 5tb in another thread maybe a nice idea come the new generation of consoles at the end of this year.. hmm

I took a chance on a recertified...reviews for "new" ones are not great anyway, they must have plenty returns/faults if they set up a "recertified" shop lol ....it's only PS4 extra storage space for me so no big issue if it dies.
