I bought this drive back in March 2023 (the non-heatsink version as my motherboard has heatsinks for the drives) for about £150, been very happy with it so far. It's currently only got 277gb left free... might need to do something about that...

Anyway here's some benchmarks and a drive health report.

    this or samsung 990 pro?

I've got both on two same spec pc's, Pc with 990 pro is more quicker to open programs, SN850X pc is a bit slower to open applications (second or two, 1st world problems lol)

For pc use go with 990 Pro, for PS5 go with SN850X. But both are good deals and would benefit any pc/ps5

can this be used in an external enclosure? And if so which would you recommend?

Yes, but you'd be better off going with the non-heatsink one and getting something like this or just go for the Crucial X8 2TB which would be cheaper if you're not too bothered by the speed difference (edited)

Looking to get one for my PS5.

Anyone using one with their PS5 can vouch for it?

Also any chance this is going lower during Black Friday?

I'll be surprised if it doesn't hit £100 for Black Friday.
