Cheapest i've seen this since release, great way to help control heat for lo&slo cooks as well as vortex cooking for wings or high heat steak searing on your Weber Mastertouch BBQ's

The Charcoal Heat Controller makes it easy to set up your charcoal for whatever you want to cook. Fill the cone with your lit charcoal to direct heat directly upwards for an extreme high temperature zone perfect for searing steak, veg, and joints of meat, or arrange the charcoal outside the cone and cover with the heat diffuser ring to create controlled convection for cooking low and slow. The rotatable ring means you can raise or lower the ring for even more control.

I honestly don't know, newly released product, may pop up in a black Friday Deal, but as a general reduction outside of that, think this is a decent price

Good piece of kit, very useful for Snake method and a large cook but honestly, Vortex Wings are just amazing with this.. good piece of kit to bridge the gap between the Mastertouch and the premium with heat deflector

Compare and contrast with the Weber Charcoal Ring and Diffuser Plate, which might be a bit better for low and slow cooks? Or will fuel last as long with this just putting it around the cone instead of in it? I'm trying to visualise the air-flow using the fuel arranged around and outside the cone - how would the smoke from wood chunks for example get to the food above? Around the edges of the plate? Through the plate segment joins? (edited)

Silly me, the disk doesn't reach the bowl surface to plenty of smoke
