Is this better than the lumpwood charcoal? What is the main difference?

Lumpwood gets hotter but burns quicker.
Briquettes last longer but not as hot.

I personally prefer to use lumpwood when I cook in direct heat for food that doesn't require long time to cook and for slow cooking/smoking I use briquettes. Or you can mix it .

If you use a lot of these or able share with a mate you can get 6 bags delivered for £81.60 (£75 or over = Free Delivery) or 12 for £163.20 and possibly claim a £50 Gift Card on a £150 spend via Daily Mail Rewards discountcode.dailymail.co.uk/b-q Would work out around £1.18 a kg or £9.43 an 8kg bag if Gift Card tracked

Also not tried these but I know some people look for more eco friendly charcoal, seems good value option at £4 for 3 kg if looking for an alternative

Just realised I can get these in the USA for less than £8. Will be filling my suitcase with briquettes on my next trip

Picked up a couple of bags in Leeds today. Had to ask an assistant to get a couple of bags down from the top of the rack. No signs advertising this offer anywhere but they scanned at the reduced price so no probs. Looked like only one left. Good to stock up on these at a decent price. Cheers OP.
