Wessex LED PIR Floodlight IP65 50W 4000lm Black

Product details

Keep your home or office secure with this energy-efficient LED floodlight. This bright light is triggered by passing humans or animals. Use it for homes, patios, driveways and parking areas. For you, it'll light the way, while for intruders, it'll turn them back the way they came, as it instantly illuminates on the detection of infrared heat.

This lamp is housed in tough die-cast aluminium, so it's lightweight and resistant to corrosion. The quick-fit installation bracket included makes this lamp easy to put up. The colour temperature of 4000K gives cool whiteness to the light, which has a bright output of 4000 lumens to cover the area effectively.

With the high efficiency of LED over traditional halogen lights, you'll save energy, and the lifespan of the bulbs is 25,000 hours. The IP65 rating means dust and water will be kept out, while the tempered glass enclosure guards the lamp itself.

Looking to replace my 400w halogen security light as glass is all fogged up and it’s gone rusty, how would the light output compare with that? (edited)

It'll give good light not as bright as a new 400w but as yours is fogged up so probably equal. Plus it's using nearly 10% of the Lecky to make it shine

I've bought these cheap ones before, it's a false economy especially with the higher power ones as they just don't last.

What’s a reliable brand that’s going to last 5+ years?

Personally I would opt for a solar powered external light fitting. Just so much easier, no wires and running costs. (edited)

Bought and installed one of these today. Good quality for the price, and pretty bright.

Mine keeps flickering during the day, watch out for that. On and off constantly.
