Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is strange yet comforting, full of narrative detours that don't always work but express the film's uniqueness. Read critic reviews

sorted byAnd even though this film is quite old now. I still think it is the best version we have had so far.
None will ever match the OG version
Paul King is a fantastic director & I'm quite surprised Paddington 2 was snubbed by the Oscars
Although had thier been a mandatory 10 I think it would've just gotten in for Picture, Supporting Actor & Adapted Screenplay
Anyway he's way out of his depth making a Wonka film
It's strange that despite the lunatics trying to wipe Roald Dahls name out of history (he did have a lot of warped, disgusting views I know but he's from a country & a era when those were common) His stories continue to get retold & remade
Yes, this is the proper version lol, i didnt care too much for teh remake at all.
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams.
This is the best version. The second best version is the Futurama episode with the Slurm factory.
