Had this since launch, pretty underwhelming if honest the MI fitness app is terrible, have to manually sync it everyday to record any activity done ,

Updates been few and far between, notifications show previous notification untill swipe down then shows actual notification , sometimes shows no notifications at all,

It's decent enough but don't be fooled with the whole "pro" thing it's far from it,

It's built well enough but very limited ( no nfc, apps don't work without phone, limited watch faves )

think I'd have rather went for a normal band

    Price is decent though

I also got it for my gf on release.. The app is awful .. we've been waiting for the app support and update , but I guess it still doesn't work normally. But one day I jumped deep into reddit and downloaded some apps to run an automatic time sensitive event and it now works. It's kind of like the "rules" setting on Android . Try it it's the only way.

Do you get text notifications on this

Yes when they decide to work, and work correctly, I often get a repeat notification (one that happend an hour ago then have to swipe the notification away then swipe down on screen to see the actual notification received )

Is this better than the active watch 3?

Good one for the features and the price. No comments on accessing the personal data though!!!

Avoid. Worst app. Doesn't automatically track steps or sleep.

I have a cheaper Xiaomi band and the app does automatically track all of that. Has done for years.

Does it not work with this band in particular? (edited)

I mostly use cheap fitness bands as I don't want to wear a £100+ band to gym.

Xiaomi, honor etc all run the same software, all of them and be very hit and miss with the tracking, especially the active minutes, it seems to make best guess rather than actually being tracked.

App is awful, Google always complains about them not being certified and asks me to delink it from my Google account (share data to Google fit app)

Steps always seem fairly accurate though.

    Amazfit is a better option

How does it compare to the Xiaomi mi band's? Between me and the wife we have had the mi band 2, 3 and 6. They have all been good imo (apart from the strap, but always replace with a better strap)

I've still got my mi band lite it's just enough for me but must admit since changing phones from my p30 Pro to my new s23 ultra the app is next to useless won't sync etc I'm assuming it wants me to buy a Samsung watch! :/

I was looking a activity watch as Iosr my mi 6, I managed to find a Garmin watch vivoactive 4, I found cheap at cex , I don't mind condition c,few scratches,,as Iook more at the phone display, but I find app lot better than mi and details more accurate, only just wish other apps synch directly with it, without paying for premium app from third party app, I use my net app to track calories tho health synch ain't bad
