    Sadly bolt cutters go through chains. I lost a mountain bike a few years ago. I found half a cut link on the ground where the bike was locked 🔗

    Honestly get a D-lock with a "disc detainer" lock. You can tell because it'll use a key like this with cut faces on the length of the key;

    Genuine question...wouldn't this be easier to break given the relatively thin chain ring material compared to a D lock? (edited)

    Chain link bounce about when you use a grinder on then unless you can hold them. I guess you'll get through them eventually.

    Generally you want a chain that is too thick/hard to break with bolt cutters

    In any case, I think the weak point in this is the lock as it's effectively a mini D lock
