All third party browsers on iOS are actually just a skin over the Safari engine as Apple does not allow anything else

Safari is extremely buggy in general and I’ve had numerous issues with text input using it on iOS 16 lately so what you are talking about does not surprise me. But I’ve yet to upgrade to iOS 17 due to all the new bugs I’ve been hearing about (edited)

Yes I know they are all Safari and WebKit based, though I use others for tabbing between things I’m using including Safari, Chrome (good bookmark sync) and Bing (MS Rewards). This has only been a problem with this site and it makes it unusable for the most part when typing longer replies - I can’t stand the app and removed it, pressing back to see what you’re replying to doesn’t save what you wrote before and it doesn’t show what you were looking at, it goes full screen for the reply?
