Great price, loved this at the cinema but I'm saving a home watch for 4K Atmos. Physical release in Italy this Thursday, can easily import from Amazon.it. £23.48 with Amazon conversion or cheaper with a fee-free card. Cheaper than the £25 it will be here, whenever that is, as I don't think we've got a UK release date yet.

If it is a movie coming from a theatrical release, it hits a Premium VOD window now where it is £15.99 to rent for 2 months before it comes down to a regular rental, around the time it hits the traditional home video (DVD/Blu-ray) window.

Because I've not seen it yet - I've been limiting cinema trips to things I've potentially covering, and playing fairly cautiously. (edited)

Hopefully when you see it you'll enjoy it more than most knowing we're now getting a second part to it. One of the main reasons I saw it theatrically, was hoping it would make enough money for WB to greenlight part 2. Hope you enjoy it when you see it!

I've seen more, but I've been very strategic about it, usually during quiet times. I've managed to get screens to myself on three occasions, or only a handful people in most (I saw No Time to Die with about 9 people on opening day). I keep masked for the duration if anyone else is around.

Luckily i knew going in it was only part 1 of the story, so I wasn't too sad about how it ended, although it depressed me knowing I have 2 years to wait and honestly it was amazing in cinema, visually its just stellar. Had to support my boy Denis Villeneuve, my favourite director working today

I've heard really good things about this film and looks right up my street so I have grabbed it. Unfortunately I have to be in work early and it will be to long to watch tonight.

Fingers crossed that now I've rented it that it will stay in my list to watch tomorrow. If not, worst case is a refund.

Thanks op. Look forward to watching it tomorrow hopefully 😃 (edited)

I watched ghostbusters at an 8.30pm Saturday night showing and was 10 people including the two of us in the place.

Amazing how quiet it was but you have really had it with style to have your own in theory personal showing.

Yeah, I saw that on opening day with about the same amount at about 1pm. I think certain locations get busier than others, which has helped me out. The three I got to myself were Sweetheart, Ron's Gone Wrong, and The Harder They Fall.

I suppose if you consider that couples will pay about that, with larger families (I have 4 kids) paying even more in the cinema, then it's not surprising. I do hope the cinemas themselves get some kind of cut, but I doubt it.

I know it's easy to look at the big studios and think they make tons of money all the time, but I think we are at a bit of a cusp with cinema (both the physical buildings and the range of large studios as well as the independents) potentially going the way of the High Street if we're not careful. A much better version than previous films, and I like the styling and music carried through from BR 2049.
As far as being boring, it's the origin story in the series, looks a bit empty storywise on its own but is integral once the second instalment is out.

My only criticism of this film (which isn't really a criticism) is that I had read the book a little too recently. It was such a faithful adaptation, nothing surprised me (which is a good thing, I guess?)
It's a stunning film with a terrific cast, and I'm glad it's getting a sequel. Definitely won't be for everyone, but to be honest I'm just glad that films like this are still getting made.

I've occasionally had to be stupid enough to for the odd film which released that way and I was covering it for my channel. Someone obviously must be, otherwise they wouldn't do it, even if I think it is ridiculous price-gouging.

I watched this movie first then saw the original Dune which i have never seen before, it’s a faithful reproduction only way better and literally follows the original word for word and scene for science where possible but updated of course. The downside is this is half the movie and requires a sequel for the full conclusion

The movie runs for 2hrs 36minutes and requires a sequel to reach its full conclusion, 28 minutes is literally an introduction to the story and characters
