I've got a TCL 43" not this model, it's a non QLED version. Picture quality is great on it. OS is ok, just ok, but it is android so you can install your usual catch up apps, Netflix, prime video and Kodi etc. For this price point and warranty I doubt it can be beaten. I've also got 50" hisense QLED tvs and again the picture quality is great. Both TVs look better than my LG 65 7400 series TV.

In case you haven't resolved, try changing sound preset from "dynamic" to "standard":
Sound > Sound preset > sound preset = “Standard”

I've read a bit about both and it seems as though the Hisense edges it.

However, the TCL is about to be £55 cheaper at Costco and I'd imagine will be perfectly fine for most users. Frankly, even though it's not a great TV, the very fact that you can get a 4K QLED with a five year warranty for this price is really good. I'd imagine power users will find a million things wrong with it but for your average consumer it's a sweet deal given the spec. (edited)

I paid £300 for this a month ago, for the price it can’t be beaten. OS is a bit laggy but I normally use YouTube, Netflix, Amazon prime video and my PS4/5 abs they all work fine. Picture quality is crisp. For the price it’s a no brainier

It's not brilliant to be fair, but I think the majority of people would be using a sky/virgin box and firestick or console so if you plan on using it as is it might annoy you. It's full android though so you can install apps directly from the play store... Vidaa on the Hisense is very snappy, great to use and has all your usual catch up apps, Netflix etc.

Fair point. Unfortunately glasses haven't hit in my mid-20's. Maybe I'll upgrade in a decade

I bought this from AO clearance on eBay for £260, I would strongly recommend this telly at this price point. I did my research between Hisense and TCL, went for TCL because of better reviews and Android OS. Currently I am using it with Roku 4K stick, yes I did experience some sound lag but it can be easily resolved by altering some settings. Can’t fault the performance even when we are watching it in a sunny room.

Can you advise that the quality is like on 720p material? Does it upscale well enough? I watch alot of 720p stuff and a 4k screen will stretch that across 9 times!

I've got the non-QLED 43P715, it's an ace TV for the price. Paid £240 last year with only standard 2 year manufacturer warranty.

This is an amazing price for QLED with the Costco 5 year warranty and 3 months returns option.

    Heated.

Might grab it for the bedroom. I wish there were more 4k 40 inches but it seems really rare now? Those extra 3" make a huge diff right Infront of the bed because it's on a bracket. 40 is perfect.

Looking for a second TV for the PS5. Appreciate this obviously isn't the best for this console but anyone know if it's decent enough or am I better spending a little extra?

See it's HDMI 2.0 only so capped at 4k60 but don't think the PS5 actually have many games that run at 4k120.

Don't want anything larger than 43inch as the room it's going in is so small.

    Thanks (edited)

Yup it's refund. I just got the adjustment reply off them. It was so close too! Tomorrow is my 30th day of owning it. It's a decent TV (don't expect it to wow you, it's a cheap TV after all) but it's much better knowing it's only cost me £270 rather than £350 (edited)
