sorted byI can't remember but it's loads more than uk sausages, taste wise idealy would be cooked over charcoal BBQ, best way inside cooking is air fryer but if no fryer then grill.
Also do one with Chilli so make sure you pick the correct one.

A bit of reading involved, too. . Recipe right at the end of the page. Enjoy.
The 'brat' in bratwurst comes from 'braten', which means to fry or roast; no better way to cook these than to shallow fry (preferably in lard!!) until golden brown, they don't contain enough fat to cook well on a barbeque... (edited)
I only have these 😁 & topped with the best mayo to my liking in the Uk
For the iceing on the cake/anything
All bought at my local Asda
From memory around 90% meat content.
Ingredients list:78% Pork, Water, Pork Fat
They often sell this in Home Bargains for 99p

I think it’s dropped from 90% still a nice meaty sausage
Try this, picked it up off my German landlady in the 80's. 2 dessert spoons of Ketchup to 1 teaspoon of curry powder. It works well for us and you can add more or less of either to get your personal taste.
I actually think Heinz curry sauce is pretty close and nice.
I agree. BBQ, Grill or Air Fryer is the only way I'll consider cooking them. I also prefer Tesco's bratties to both Lidl's or Aldi's 🤷🏼♂️ (edited)
Hi!
I hear you & accept fully what you are saying! I usually buy better quality sausages with a high meat content - they cost more but I do not buy them as often then. I stay away from the usual brands like Richmonds, Walls & cheap ones but still assume there is some undesirable stuff in the better ones as well!
How would these compare in taste & texture to say those from M&S & Waitrose etc? I usually like a traditional pork sausage & the Cumberland ones!
Many Thanks!
I saw them today while shopping.
You don't need a recipe, just buy one of these:
Anyone know where you can get rindswurst in the UK? Can't find it anywhere (edited)
Where do you find the sauce? For Rindswurst try germandeli.co.uk
At the moment out of stock, but should be in stock soon again.

They do well on a BBQ too, done it many times. Yummy (edited)
Brilliant - bookmarked!! Thanks for that.
We stock up when visiting friends in who live in Duisburg, but resort to Amazon if we run out between trips - which we've obviously done during Covid!
I meant Amazon for curry ketchup:
Spicy
Original
Not cheap, but it is the same as you buy in Germany and it's a pretty big bottle. (edited)
I always give them a spray with oil before cooking them, you should try the air fryer it gives them a nice brown colour to them and a nice crispness too the skin. I love on the BBQ because of the charcoal adding the unique smoke taste mmmmmmmmm
Edit- shoulda read that show more (edited)

Although my Lidl also has a “Rat”wursts for the same price. 🐀
No fillers used in Bratwurst sausages, all meat.
What am I missing? Don't they have them all year around? I used to buy them every week, not so much anymore.
Yes going shortly
Not in my local all year round and it's a massive modern store. I'm in Belfast though and Lidl NI is a different operation to Lidl UK, which is maybe why. They didn't even have these when this deal was posted or when I was in the other day.
I've never seen the Dulano ones. They're usually a different brand with a white label at random times throughout the year in their specials fridge, with the items that change weekly. They always have other Dulano wurst like Bockwust, Frankfurter etc but I have never seen the Bratwurst and believe me, I have looked thoroughly!
We frequently get the Parkside stuff a week or two later too, and sometimes more expensive. E.g. I wanted the carpet cleaner deal linked below when I saw it, but it showed up here weeks later and was £20 more expensive!

Ahhh, ok. It all makes sense now.
Sausage lover here but truth be told, I have only usually eaten standard British types of sausages - I always wonder about how some European sausages might taste but usually chicken out - I think it is the white colour that I find odd & what puts me off - also the colour makes me wonder exactly what they are made from & what is in them!
Are they like a nice tangy UK sausage made of just meat or is the white colour due to them having other "nasty" stuff in them like tripe, offal, gizzards & other "yucky" stuff - that would really put me off!
Many Thanks!
Not sure, but you can check while in the store.
Thanks. I always buy them. Next week will be even more worth to get them
Thanks! Hopefully get the bratwurst now! I get them in Lidl every time they are in, which usually is around Oktoberfest but they had some last month. Don't think they have been Dulano though. (edited)
And where do you find the sauce? Never seen it in supermarkets here.
