The screen is much better (bigger and clearer), there are more workouts and it has improved weight tracking. The battery lasts for about 2 weeks on a 6, but 20 days on a 4. I have a 4 that still is holding pretty well (besides the battery lasting around a week instead of 2 now) and my wife has a 6. Besides the improved screen I'm not too interested in the additional tracking that much, so I'm not that fussed to upgrade. If this was the NFC version at this price though I would probably bite.
Ah I get you. I've kinda always wanted a premium watch (Apple watch or Galaxy) but its hard to justify their price when this little band can do the main things you want your watch to do. (edited)
I had a fancy smartwatch, I went back to the Mi. Not least because it would cost a silly amount monthly to mirror my SIM card  but I honestly thought I was better off without unless you *need* the fancier features and I couldn't think of many circumstances where I would.
It was big and heavy and the light shone in my eyes in low light and I had to worry about damaging it, and it needed charging frequently and duplicating my phone's features but worse was largely pointless, and I disliked the pretentiousness of a status symbol. I could go on. Admittedly I'm cheap and dislike status anyway.
But most of all, life is an information overload already, adding more to my wrist felt like doubling down for the worse. I cut my Mi notifications down even further after that and I'm happier without both.
Literally all I missed was NFC payments. And the flatter to my wrist these things go the better. That's about it.
Got for 24 automatically asked .e if I wanted to use points just toggled the box. (edited)
Just join one already flashing up. The name with all the asterisks is some one waiting. Click this one

Not sure on the tracking side of things but it’s a much nicer screen to look at.
I do love this watch for the price. I’ve wanted an Apple Watch for a while but this is such a good little watch that I find it hard to justify the cost of an Apple Watch. (edited)
I know the likes of an Apple Watch is a luxury item in many ways. But when you like technology you can’t help but like what’s best. The premium feel of an Apple Watch in your hand or on your wrist can’t be matched by the little xiaomi.
I get that many features can be found on all these devices and that the cost is miles apart. But that can be the case in anything you purchase in life. Not many people will always buy the cheapest option of everything. There’s always a reason to buy more premium.
But my time with this watch has been enjoyable. The only issue I have is now that I’m on Apple again I can’t customise Watch faces as easily.
The battery life is a big factor for me as I hate charging things especially a watch. This can last 6 days to 2 weeks for me depending if I’ve been tracking my walks or not.
I have an amazfit 5 that's also been sensitive when walking, enough that I need to roll sleeve cuff up or wear glove cuff over screen, otherwise it would randomly pause tracking. I feel it's to do with humidity more than anything.
I had the mi band 2 and 3 before. One advantage of the newer one is not having to take it out of the strap to charge. Though not sure how sensitive the charging connectors are to any dirt etc.
I tried to get swimming workout 3 times and never got anywhere. Either didn't start at all or said not enough data. Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 is pretty good for swimming. (edited)
I was same so got the Apple Watch SE. Amazing thing, unreal screen. Do it and you won’t regret.
As much as I want to love Xiaomi, I can't help but feel it looks/feels/acts like something I get out of a Christmas cracker.
Fantastic lol. I did say most people. Also most people don’t take calls while working out
….. in fact most people
Don’t work out.
Most people replace a phone every couple of years.
I think the smart watch can work well for many people. But the reality is people do buy them as a luxury item. Lots of people will buy an Apple Watch because it’s an Apple product.
Them garmin ones can be ridiculously expensive. For them prices they should come with a 6 pack.
has that got NFC? want o get OH watch, she's borrowing my amazfit bip whIch she's liking. so want to get her a upgraded version with as many features as possible.
Edit: all sorted now
Thanks, who did you invite / join the group to get it for that price please?
Need to find one other person within 12 hours in order to buy it. (edited)
Thank you, I already paid for it, so hoping someone will join my pop-up there. Status showing as 'need 1 more person'
Edit: Found someone now
Anyone want to buy the NFC one for £30.89 delivered, please pm me & I'll send you the unique link to join my group at Xiaomi, thanks(edited)Please see this post: hotukdeals.com/com…191
I’ll regret the price I’ve paid and the fact that I have to charge it lol. I was same with my Samsung watch.
The thing I don’t get with most people is they say you can take calls and send messages on their watch…. But why spend so much money on the latest phone to leave it in your pocket lol
My phone is 4y old. And taking calls on a watch might be useful during workout or if phone is in another room.
How did you get the fallout skin????
It was an app when I had an android phone. I can’t remember the name but there are a few that work well as I recall. Very simple to install the watch faces if you’re on android
I have mi 5 , would it work on that?
I can’t say for sure but I’m quite sure there are plenty Watch faces for the older generations of mi bands.
I tested number of fitness bands and watches, never thought about them as luxury items. Testing Garmin Fenix 6X Pro now and still can't understand why it's so expensive. Will be sending it back soon, can't really see any use for it. Samsung Fit 2 and Watch 4 are good enough for me. Mi Band 6 is nice gadget, but some functions are not working like swimming, etc. It's in a drawer to use as backup, if I ever need it. (edited)
Thanks! Ordered!
I think what you were wanting is this, if you scroll down a bit it is there:
ams.event.mi.com/uk/…BwE (edited)
It's the apps more for me rather than been able to take calls / message although that's useful sometimes. Tesla / Strava / Apple Fitness integration is brilliant.
I thought the same with charging but I just put it on this night stand thing every night although it easily lasts me 2+ days (SE)
