Needs a few disclaimers really, firstly that the Turkish Lira is highly volatile, there’s no guarantee you will get this at the stated price when the service launches.

As people are aware Sony are implementing methods to crack down on the use of Crypto cards, if anyone manages to use a Crypto card to sign up successfully there is no guarantee the card will still work in 12 months time. It’s entirely plausible that you could end up with a subscription (with attached PS+ games) that you simply cannot renew unless another working payment method comes along. Just to reiterate, PSN gift cards do not exist on the Turkey store.

Other regions, including those in Asia and some in South America, whilst marginally more expensive (more expensive than Turkey, but still a lot cheaper than UK etc) do not have these problems as gift cards are largely available.

Where do I go to stack wallet credits? Don't find it. Cheers mate

On your PlayStation go to account > wallet > add funds, can only add 200TL at a time, make sure enough credit on crypto.com card.

Deal needs a lot more information for anyone to actually sign up.

In Asia apparently PlayStation have removed the new plus accounts that were bought at discounts rates. Not sure how true it is but makes me wary to buy a subscription until it’s launched 😬

Can you name of few of these regions please?

Indonesia is almost always the next cheapest region for games and subs where on sale. India can be a cheap region for new releases but not necessarily back catalogue games or during sales. USA and Canada has historically speaking been the go to region for PSN sales, many people here doing this for a number of years will have US accounts I imagine, but since Sony brought all the region stores under one roof we haven’t seen any further weekly PSN or $5 flash sales like they used to have. All these regions have PS+ (at differing levels) and gift card payment options available but it’s worth bearing in mind some regions are better than others for different things.

A USA account is very easy if anyone is starting out.

It's a good point this. For anyone who does not have a major legacy of PS plus with years worth of locked in benefits it's much better to set up a foreign PS account and start from scratch. You can still play everything on your UK account and that includes online play.

I'm subbed in multiple regions but if I wasnt I would definitely go this route. Indonesian PSN is probably the one you want as that can be topped up with PSN pre paid cards for that region and is probably next cheapest to Turkey.

So how does this work exactly? And could I get this PS Plus working through all my profiles on my PS5? I’m assuming I’d just need to create a Turkish Profile on my account?
  14. strong1's avatar
Another tip, although you can't stack ps plus anymore, you can stack wallet credit, therefore anyone worried about the crytpo cards being locked out in future will still have credit to buy the subs. However, lira is volatile and the price may change, and of course once's that money is used up and gone - it's gone. I've stacked credit for around 4 years worth

Exactly and they didn't even acknowledge the issue for 3 days. As soon as Sony confirmed what would happen with PS Now and PS+ members I got a 3 month PS Now code that redeemed ok, so will get PS+ Premium until Sept 2024 because of my existing PS+. Bought 2 lots of 12 month PS+ the next day to take it to Sept 2026 and both wouldn't redeem as I didn't know Sony had turned off stacking as it was relatively new issue and no media outlets had picked it up yet. Took 3 whole days for Sony to acknowledge it and put out a new FAQ.

Worst of all is some retailers aren't even acknowledging this, just check out Amazon for 12 month PS+, no mention of it. And the recent reviews there's plenty of people leaving 1 star reviews thinking they have a dud code and out of pocket, when the codes will be perfectly fine once the new service launches.

Luckily the codes I've got will still work just get 6 months of PS+ Premium per 12 months PS+ code. (edited)

Would it be cheaper? Or the same price

    Cheaper for doing what?

You can't convert before the new service launches in Turkey as the only way to convert PS+ to the highest tier before hand is to have a PS Now subscription as well. But PS Now is not available in Turkey so this method can not be used.

The only way to go from a Turkish PS+ to a higher tier is wait until the service is live and pay to upgrade. The upgrade is paying the difference between the basic PS+ and either tier 2 or tier 3, for the length of your remaining subscription.

    Looking at the prices its

    240 TL for PS+ Essential
    400 TL for PS+ Extra
    460 TL for PS+ Deluxe

So you would have to pay the difference from 240 TL to either 400 TL or 460 TL depending on what you want. Thats per year so if you have say 3 whole years left then 660 TL in one payment to Sony to convert to PS+ Deluxe.

So cheaper upgrading than buying a new subscription. (edited)

I'll be honest guys, I buy all my games via the TUR store using my cypto card. Yes it's a bit of a ball ache to setup but it SAVE YOU SO MUCH MONEY it is unreal. With me only recently buying my turkey PSN recently, it should mean I get the upgrades a hell of a lot cheaper too.
    mini_beest's avatar
For example, the new TMNT game if you have PS plus in the UK is £17.99. If you have a PS plus Turkey account it's £9.24!

I've definitely played all the pS5 games they are adding that id want to. Will need to see how Sony improves it, its definitly been rushed with little love given to it.
Seems a brilliant thing if your new to console. But the poor emulation side and unreliable streaming isn't for me.
