Folk need to include details of the India roaming as the limits (especially calls & texts) make 'free roaming in India' misleading.

Keep your current mobile number - mobile.lebara.com/gb/…tin

TIP - to active your sim, put it in the mobile when you get it, goto lebara.com and sign-in and it will send a text to your mobile, (if you install the app before you do this, it will cause verification problems).

Its active when you see "My Plans" showing the deal in your account online.

The 5gb extra when you portin is a one-off 5gb (not 5gb extra per month).

    Get your pac from Lebara.
Get a FREE Asda sim and the new Lebara sim.
Do NOT add credit to either. You will need to stump one one month for lebara.
    Port to Asda.
Let it go live on the Asda network for 24 hours.
    Get your pac.
Activate the new lebara and use the pac.
All should be good in 24 hours

Ordered this one then went onto Lebara chat and requested for "Hello, I would like to request to cancel my order id LMXXXX and get a refund, I have received this sim card but not activated it, I ordered another lebara sim today with better offer so no longer need this sim with number 0755XXXXX". Agent : I have cancelled the order and placed the refund request. Refund will reflect within 7-14 working days.

Remember they will only cancel if you have not activated the sim. (edited)

It is a great deal, but be aware, if you intend to use it abroad Lebara has fair usage policy where they allow same amount of data/txt/mins you have used on average in 120 days here in the UK. So as a new client you won't have many of allowance to use when roaming in EU/India and have to pay. They take payment from balance and if you haven't toped up any, you will be cut off. Happened to my mates when roaming in Italy, who joined on another deal just a month or so.

Nice one OP...Just ordered this sim but already on a 12gb for 5mths at 1.99 runs out in September but i had to order this one at that price....I do like a nice deal
    TristanDeCoonha's avatar
You can hold a sim for 90 days without adding credit etc, so get this, pay the first month, DO NOT activate it, then in late August you do the dance. Your first month is already paid, and if something better has come along, the worst is you've lost £1.99

I'm currently with Lebara paying £6.95 I think for 10gb. Where's a good/quick place to port my number to so I can sign up again and get this deal? Thanks

Is there a workaround to use this offer with existing phone number on Lebara?

If everything works, need 4 working days.

    For instance,
Monday, request PAC and give PAC.
Tuesday, Number ported out. But you cannot request PAC this day as the PAC just been used will be alive until midnight.
Wed, request PAC, give PAC to port back.
    Thurs, Number ported back.

Need 4 working days. If everything works smoothly and you have not wasted any time.

If you give PAC during weekend instead of Monday, the port out still only finishes on Tuesday, not Monday. (edited)

Having used all 4 networks over the last 6 months - I have been very impressed by Lebara (Vodafone) here in Staffordshire.

Smarty (Three) was the fastest by far (5G), in perfect conditions only - start moving around or going indoors and it falls apart.
EE was fast in all conditions - it's clearly the premium option.
    O2 was terrible
Lebara (Vodafone) has just been solid. Speed is middle of the road but I can only tell by speed testing. The reliability has been amazing though - all speed tests are always good. Vodafone only feels a nats hair behind EE for speed. Once the speed is at least 25 down, can anyone really tell the difference for general usage (not downloading obviously)? Also - Vodafone was consistently the lowest latency which made browsing feel snappy.

I know it's naughty, but sometimes I'll put Sky News or IPTV on while driving home from work. My 30 minute commute involves part town, part countryside. My Lebara sim somehow manages to hold that live HD stream the whole way - not a single drop out. Even my EE sim couldn't do this - there would be 2 areas it would freeze for 20-30 seconds each time. O2 and Three just wasn't worth bothering to try - it either didn't have the bandwidth to handle HD or constantly cut out.

I know, I know - area dependant. (edited)
    Ry3nlNaToR's avatar
I've also used all the networks and pretty much agree with what you said, in my experience overall EE is the fastest, Vodafone not as fast as EE but usually fast enough 99% of the time for browsing and steaming without lagging, Three good for raw speed on 5G strong signal where Three fall to pieces is zero consistency you can get 800-900Mbps on 5G but a mile down the road it's sub 5Mbps, O2 is very hit and miss when it works it's normally slower and no way as reliable or consistent as Vodafone. Get it now - it will not start until you put into a phone, you have 6 months to do that

I used to be with Lebara a few years ago. Can I still use the same email id to get this deal or do we need a new email? Thanks
    soton26's avatar
If you add +something to your Gmail email it counts as a different one and is accepted, for example voyager+lebara1@gmail.com will work and emails still end up at voyager@gmail.com
  12. lugsy3's avatar
Cracking offer this ok to swap number over?
  13. Rob_Deeley's avatar
Bit of a tip for anyone wanting multiple accounts at this price and have Gmail. Just add +1, +2 etc at the end of the main body of your email address and it will land in the same inbox as your standard one.
For instance: lebarardeal@gmail.com becomes lebaradeal+1@gmail.com - new account 😏 same inbox

I got a current lebara account with a sim attached. If I add another sim then port the original out could I port back to the second sim I added?
    Mooney_70's avatar
Asda mobile is the network people seem to use when doing a temporary port out and then back in to your original network. As you don't need to top up any balance to do it. So yes, you should be fine moving from Asda mobile back to Lebara and keeping your original number or the number from the second SIM. (edited)

When it says 12gb 5g data, does that mean I have to use it with 5g?

No. It will work on 2G/3G/4G/5G

They have already charged my bank account £1.99. Does that mean my six months has started? I thought it will only start when I activate the sim and was hoping to do that late August!
    Mr.Plow's avatar
As hpb's reply yes I can confirm the service only starts when you activate the sim so the 2nd payment will be taken 30 days after activation. (edited)

Now that O2 priority is effectively pointless after losing Nero and the continual tightening of "free" perks then this looks like a good time to go down the PAYG route
    jco83's avatar
You don't even need to be an active O2 user to still be able to use O2 Priority. I did have an O2 PAYG SIM and continue to use Priority long after I've stopped using the SIM

Im thinking of getting this for my two teenagers... does anybody know if I can cap the data so that once they’ve use different the free 12 gb, they won’t be able to carry on using more and then get charged? If I can cap it a try the 12 gb, how do I do that please?
    Thislife79's avatar
I think once the data allowance had run out, you have to actively purchase an additional data bundle...it doesn't just automatically charge you.

Literally just ported my number today for the 5gb one lmao...

Should I cancel the current one and order this so by end of month I then just hop over to this new deal?
    Bendown's avatar
I would, just order a Asda sim, port over to that and back to Lebara.
  29. Gavin_DaviessTb's avatar
I'm on this deal from a few months ago. Can't fault it. The data speeds are not amazing, but more than enough for me. Which is web browsing, YouTube in 1080p, and music streaming when out and about. (edited)

how does the 12gb data work out 3gb a week?
  30. mpowa101's avatar
I've just signed up for the 5GB offer and activated the sim cards, but is it possible to order these sims under different email addresses and then cancell the ones that I've just activated?

Yes you can just switch off the auto renewal then you don't get charged after this month
  31. ForestGrump's avatar
Probably been asked before but can't see it.
My Vodafone contract ends at the end of August so will I be able to port my number to Lebara as they also use the Vodafone network?
    islandgal's avatar
Yes, have done both ways before with no problem
  32. MrRee's avatar
It says that this SIM is 2G ... that can't be right, can it?
    Voyto's avatar
Some handsets will not connect at their highest speed when it’s the secondary sim? I think it’s just in a passive mode, listening for calls and sms?
  33. Sophiasky's avatar
I've just gone on to my phone to send a message to Lebara using the number 65075 with the word PAC, and it says that this will produce fees - isn't it free to receive your PAC code from Lebara (I'm currently on a 30 day rolling contract with Lebara)? (edited)
    deblod's avatar
It should be free. It's probably default warning as the number is a special number.
  34. otherparty's avatar
To all who say 'PAC code', what exactly do you think the C stands for in PAC?

Great deal. Just back from a month in Spain. Good speeds and 5g in places. Can't fault it.
I also received an email from them today stating that your full allowance ( up to 30gig) was available for roaming. I'm going to stay with them after my £1.99 special offer ends. (edited)
  36. Sophiasky's avatar
I put the Asda sim into my phone (porting from Lebara to Asda, then hopefully back to Lebara to get this deal) and was told that the changeover would take place between 5 pm and midnight tonight. I haven't actually put any credit/taken out a plan with Asda, so how will I know that everything is up and running - do they send you a text message?

This morning, I tried to send some work through using a supermarket's wifi and I couldn't do it (wouldn't allow it even though I have done that before) - I ended up driving home to do it by using my wifi, then had to go off again to my second job - does everything get messed up when a port is taking place?

Can somebody please tell me when I will know if the port has successfully happened seeing I'm not buying credit/taking out a plan with Asda (I'm assuming nothing will work unless money is put onto the Asda sim) - also, do I have to change any settings on my phone once it has been done? Thank you.
    myusername19's avatar

Tried that too. But got error on it too that port in is not yet completed. But the customer care was very friendly and helped correcting the issue

How long do you have to activate the sim? I was once told 30 days, but a message up above says 6 months .... Can anyone point me towards somewhere that gives a definitive answer?

Asking as I have sims expiring in September and hence probably worth getting now if I can activate in September / October ...

First month started on 25 May (paid for at time of purchase) but it looks like the sim needs to be activated within 30 days now see comments above
