Very impressed with mine - so far have cooked: steak, pork shoulder chops, salmon, spatchcocked chicken oh and pizza. All have come out really well, I have also found the wood pellets easy to use.

So it cooks a pizza in 60 seconds once you've pre heated it for 15minutes.
    Is that correct?
    hdhinsa's avatar
Yes - possibly a bit longer if cooking multiple pizzas, as they absorb heat from the stone each time.

Need a laser temp gun really, to ensure you're at a high enough temp.

Can leave empty for a few minutes with fire raging to bring back up to temp. I've cooked up to 9 pizzas in one sitting.

How do these honestly compare to oonis? Willing to spend the extra on one if it's worth it

If it helps someone did a comparison with an ooni on the expired thread for this oven when it was available from Currys.

Would anyone who owns one, mind sharing some pictures of their pizzas please?

Currys would not price match as its clearance. Ordered from RD.

I just ordered it with Curry's and they price matched no problem.

Bit late to the party as I had to wait for my birthday today to open it, but finally got some pizzas on. Really impressed, not only with my dough and sauce making skills but also the end results from the oven. A bit trial and error but knocked off about 8 in a row and everyone enjoyed them. A couple of burnt crusts along the way plus I left it too long at the start in topping up the pellets before the first pizza. I've never seen so much smoke! Relit the fresh pellets and it was all plain sailing after that, money well spent

Just priced match with curry’s to use my work vouchers. Thanks for posting

Forgot about their price match, this will help folks in NI (Curry's is free delivery over £40 as well).

I just returned mine. Wouldn’t get up to temperature, even with Ooni pellets. The door is rubbish- it’s not on a hinge and needs to be wedged in.
    Just ordered an Ooni.

My ooni (actually uuni) doesn’t use a hinge either just a lip and a slot, but I can’t speak for later models

Went back and forth with this one and the Salter one. I liked the handle on the Salter but the negative BBC review put me off. Thanks to everyone who contributed positive feedback on the Zanussi. Ordered.

I bought one of these recently in the Currys sale, along with some of the pellets on the Wowcher deal. Definitely an impulse HUKD purchase. I've used it 4 times, for about 16 pizzas. I have zero experience with any other pizza ovens. It's first outing was for some friends that happen to own one of the dual fuel ooni models. They were pretty impressed with both the kit and the pizzas that came out of it. If money is not an issue, go for an ooni, but so far the Zanussi has been a really great purchase.

Roccbox is a beast but for £100 you can’t argue with this deal.

How long does it take to cook a steak more than 60 seconds I assume?

Does anyone know if you can use charcoal in this ?
    StableGenius's avatar
    Just wood pellets

Heat, ordered. Just what I've been looking for, couldn't justify the £300 for an ooni, thanks! (edited)

Wow. Ooni should have the lawyers on this.

  19. ryanmalonespage's avatar
How much wooden pellets does it use at a time?
    S_Kelly's avatar
    350g-500g a pizza roughly.

Currys are saying they won't price match if it's out of stock? How does that work if I bought it when it was in stock yesterday? Anyone have a clue

Picked up mine today after being on holiday, looks good, will test at the weekend. Paddle looks small, picked up a bigger paddle from Lidl today, £8.49 (with free Lidl plus app), looks the part.
