I was watching the Samsung UK Live stream this evening and they mentioned the below promotion on purchases made direct on Samsung.com. I haven't seen it mentioned on here, so I thought I mention it:

    Just as an update, I sent the email chain to my credit card provider (Amex) for the £100 dispute, and it looks like they have upheld my claim.

    I uploaded screenshots showing the offer, T&Cs, my order, etc. - basically everything showing I had done this correctly. I then uploaded screenshots of the email chain that shows Samsung admitting fault and clearly stringing us along. And it looks like Amex has (rightly) ruled in my favour and refunded the £100.

    Just a heads up to anybody else fighting Samsung over this. Surely more Section 75 credit card pressure will force them to resolve this issue for others who can't go down the S75 route too.

    Just be mindful that Samsung's chargeback insurer may dispute it. Keep an eye on it as while AmEx will instantly put the amount into your favour, it's a six week window for a full resolution (edited)

    Just got phone call from CEO office, after email received on saturday, which means they take it seriously now. They will send emails to EVERYONE who claimed. I asked about it as ive got more than one coming. The guy said they have register of claims, and even those who didnt reach out to them will get vouchers. (edited)

    Gutted as they've just sent the buds live out after was told they wouldn't honour the voucher claims for pre-orders, but happy to hear that others will get theirs at least.

    Yep I haven't received the voucher either I've been passed between customer services and promotions team they have said the offer doesn't exist.. And listed what I was able to claim luckily I kept screen shots of the offer and terms and conditions

    I've now threatened legal action via small claims court and received this today will see what happens

    Ha ha I got the same email from the same person today, Alyanna must of been busy dealing with this today
    Im not sure if I see this as a promising sign or another fob off but they might be having quite a few people chasing them up and threatening legal action now so maybe it has kicked them into a proper response to this mess. However I'm sure people have been receiving the vouchers for the other post launch promo so not sure why they are waiting for them.......

    Been trying to sort this out via customer support but has just been passed between departments and tired of wasting hours talking with them. Emailed the CEO and trying to cause a stink on the Samsung forum.

    When I get a moment I will if they don't honor that is ilegal and misleading as many people ordered because of this promotion I would have held out for price drops of it wasn't for this and other promos.

    If I don't get anywhere I'll be taking with trading standards but let's hope it doesn't get that far!

    It seems Samsung have changed the goalposts. The Samsung website now suggests you can claim FREE buds2 Pro if you buy the fold or flip 4 between 10 Aug & 29 Sep. See here:

    Which means those of us who added them as pre-order by 25 Aug paid £156.15, and those who waited have got them for free.

    On top of that you now get 2 smartag+ for free

    Specifically, this is the law that could and should be quoted:

    The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008

    Misleading actions

    (f)any statement or symbol relating to direct or indirect sponsorship or approval of the trader or the product;

    (i)the need for a service, part, replacement or repair;

    (j)the nature, attributes and rights of the trader (as defined in paragraph 6);

    (k)the consumer’s rights or the risks he may face.

    For reference, in case of the Buds2 Pro

    Cost of Buds2 Pro : £219

    Trade-in : £30 (max)
    Voucher: £100
    Free Wireless Charger: £52

    So the net cost (by using the face values of all products) for the Buds2 Pro will be £37

    But since the benefits are not in cash like they were for the previous Samsung promotions. the deciding factors should:
    1. Can you use/sell a £52 Wireless Charger?
    2. Can you use/sell the GooglePlay Voucher of £100?
    3. Do you have a spare useless smartphone/tablet to give back?

    Voted deal hot all the same because what you are getting for £219 is quite a lot. (edited)

    I've now not had a reply from either Samsung customer service or the CEO email for last couple of weeks,since I threatened to report this to the Advertising standards agency!!
    Finally given up receiving these vouchers,and have submitted a complaint to them.
    I do not believe anyone who ordered in good faith before the cut off date,should be out of pocket for a clearly advertised offer!! Regardless of who set up the live promotion, Samsung are now hoping we all go away and don't cause any issues.
    Samsung do not have any issue sourcing these vouchers,as proved by the continued offer's which are running today.They simply DON'T want to send for these and trying to wriggle out.
    Pure and simply this was false advertising unless they confirm sending any vouchers!!

    Do you have the details for how to send the complaint and which email/address etc. please? I'd like to also send a complaint. I'm thinking that the more complaints the ASA receive, the more likely they are to do something.

    Small print is still on website so it's not like they're not acknowledging the deal iOS imagine we'll hear by 25th is not then I shall reach out to them.

    Beware if you are offered a Samsung voucher then it's not valid on the Perks at Work/Student/Blue Light Card stores (or so they told me). So they give with one hand and take with the other (edited)

    Ok,I was offered Samsung vouchers(2 pre orders) but have so far declined as they have told me they still expect the play vouchers to be sent soon!!
    Have it in writing now via high up that they did know about the offer but are waiting for supply!! Funny they can find the vouchers for the watch promotion though🤥🤷🤷

    Tempted by this and the EPP offer for the flip4. Will go through some more reviews but been an iPhone user since 2009, with a brief 18 month stint with a Pixel 3.

    Appreciate iTunes and other platform specific stuff is pretty much dead in the water now, but am I going to hate the Samsung overlays? (edited)

    The ugly bloatware of the old Samsung phones are long dead. They switched to the 'One UI' interface a few generations ago which focuses on one hand use. It's considered a much simpler cleaner UI which many people prefer now.

    no complaints on my end having used it for a few years

    I bit today with Quidco giving 7% cashback and 50 pound bonus. With 10% code, it came to 1259. If all tracks and considering 100 pound vouchers from Samsung and Google play, it will be around 921. Have to get rid of my iPhone 13 pro. Costliest phone I have ever purchased in my life.     Really amazing watch, I've come from Apple Watch and Oppo watch and this one is amazing.

    Doesn't feel heavy or fat to my like some reviewers said and touch bezel is a really satisfying experience with the haptics, screen is really nice, reallys really premium - sensors seems to work well. I'd say I don't get 3 days battery more like 2 on normal usage (no GPS) but I believe those should get better once it learns your usage patterns. I've had no stuttering what so ever this thing is fast (been using since 19th) if you wanted to know something specific i'd be happy to let you know

    I am in the same boat regarding the £100 Google play voucher.

    When I chatted with Samsung customer service team they said it was only for the watch etc etc.

    I have pointed out that the WayBackMachine shows the old promo splash banner with Fold4 on it 😁

    Downloaded the screenshot and sent it over. They are investigating and will get back to me apparently.....

    Just got a call from Samsung CEO, now they are telling me they are trying to resolve the issue with the £100 google voucher and I should hear back in a few days. This was after I was offered the £100 samsung voucher which I then queried about it's limitations.

    Samsung CEO office called me today and explained the extra £50 voucher.

    Basically your minimum cash spend has to be at least £1. So you need to have a basket total of at least £51 before the voucher will work.

    It also won't work on the EPP or student websites and can't be stacked with other discounts.

    Code is actually giving £200 off. Examples of what you can have;

    Watch5 Pro without belt with any trade-in for £60 (Unfortunately £100 Google Play finished day before yesterday)

    Portable SSD T7 Shield USB 3.2 Gen 2 2TB or Portable SSD T7 USB 3.2 2TB for £196 + Some add-on to take it over £200 like MicroUSB to Type C Adapter for £5. Apply code and it will reduce to £1 delivered.

    Three 500GB Portable SSD for £80*3=£240-£200 for £40.

    Or any other combination. Works with everything I tried over £200 and it gives £200 off. I bought watch for £60. Code only works on consumer portal and not business or through EPP.

    OK, so I have wasted a decent amount of time trying to contact Samsung and give them the decency of trying to sort this out.

    Nothing. No help whatsoever. Online staff pretending they don't understand what's going on, directing me to incorrect phone numbers. Phone staff confusing this with the Samsung Promotions Buds offer. Customer service staff don't exist because "they work from home so you can't speak to them".

    Complete and utter waste of time. So I've initiated a Section 75 dispute claim with my credit card provider instead. Given the screenshots that we have in this thread - and the irony that the website *still* says the T&Cs that we all followed, I have absolutely no idea how Samsung can get out of this one.

    Thanks for keeping us posted getting frustrated and bored with this.

    I've for less motivation as I was going to use the play credit for Stadia games but they're closing down now, so Google and Samsung have annoyed me recently! Will likely use it for Google One now if I ever get it. Will keep fighting it out of principle.
