Restaurants, Night Club, Waterslides, Premium drinks

With a big pool, waterslides, and family-friendly evening entertainment, the Trendy Hotels Lara is an ideal choice for a family holiday to Turkey. The huge pool’s joined by slides for adults and children. There’s a pool with smaller slides and water features for tots, too. What’s more, Antalya Beach is right outside, or you can hop on the hotel’s free shuttle to a private beach, three minutes away. Other highlights include the mini-discos and big-scale productions in the evenings. Then there’s the spa, which grown-ups can escape to while the little ones are having fun at the hotel-run kids’ club. To top it all off, the soft sands of Antalya Beach are right outside.

The head-turner at the Trendy Hotels Lara is the pool scene. It sprawls out like a giant lagoon and comes with waterslides, suitable for all ages. Elsewhere, you’ve got top-notch evening entertainment and an ultra-swish spa. There are eight places to eat, too, including five themed restaurants* which you can dine at for an extra fee.

Pools
From above, the pool scene looks like a jigsaw puzzle of curvy blue pieces. There are lots of different sections, split up by palm tree-dotted walkways and sunbathing zones.
When you’re not lounging on an inflatable in the pool, hit the waterpark. Its colourful collection of slides looks like a handful of jelly snakes and includes chutes, flumes and a U-shaped slide to ride dinghies in.

Food & Drink
You’ve got a buffet restaurant, five à la carte eateries*, a bistro and a patisserie, plus a Dom Bistro restaurant that’s open from 10pm until 7am – ideal for late-night nibbles. Eight different bars have you sorted for drinks, too.
The five à la carte restaurants* include a Greek place called Turquoise*, a steak house called The Red*, and a Far Eastern place – Sakamai* – which specialises in rice, noodles and seafood.

Entertainment
Evenings kick off with games and mini-discos for children, followed by live shows, music and dance performances. Afterwards, pop in to the hotel’s nightclub to dance to big hitting songs.

Health & Beauty

The spa’s* decked out to look like luxury, with marble floors and walls gilded with gold. The treatment list ticks off massages* and skin care therapies*. A Turkish bath and a steam room are stashed away in here, too.

Nice hotel but don't see any reason to go there when its not going to be decent weather.

The hotel stays open all year. Clearly they have customers. I go to beach destinations during the season. Some people are going out of season, for the entertainment, to eat and drink, to visit stuff, to have a break from home, etc. In some places the beach is covered in snow and people still go. This helps the hoteliers to keep their staff and to cover expenses. In other places the hotels are open only 3 months a year. The prices are high to cover the expenses for 12 months. There are lots of elderly going to all inclusive out of season, some stay for several months because they find it good value.
But I agree. If you're after sun and beach, you'll not find that in Turkey in Dec. (edited)

Saving a weeks worth a heating bills in the U.K. has to be a factor to consider when pricing this up.

i've been to the lara (about 4 years ago) and I rated it 5/5 on trip advisor. we went during the qugust time however.
We returned from a different antalya hotel only a few days ago - antalya airport was fine - our flights were at 12:30 Turkey time to GWK and wasn't jam packed.

Someone wanting 15 degree weather instead of 5? Not that deals can be posted listing this, but imagine people going would save £50-100 in energy bills by going!

    Great price.
I'm already looking for something in January and expecting some massive bargain deals. Not necessarily just Turkey of course. (edited)

Went to Trendy Lara a few years ago in peak season- it was a great hotel, with every facility you can think of (within reason, ofcourse). Nowhere local to go out and about but a bus stop serves it (3min walk, if that... The main walk was to go from the reception door to the main gate..nearly killed us in the heat!) and goes into town which is as lovely and bustly as any town filled with loadsa little shops and restaurants. All in all, a busy hotel but served by countless staff so never short of service. Indoor pool and salt water pool were good in peak sun. Great price, albeit double doubting as weather meh around that time...
