Good luck getting any 5G, the reception is really poor and I'm definitely looking elsewhere even though I'm paying very little.

This network is for your mum and nan to call each other for a natter only. (edited)

I've just came from being on Vodafone to lebara and there is a huge difference in Network coverage and speeds (used to get 5g on vodafone , now just about get 4g on lebara!) the network is definitely getting throttled on lebara, but for the price I cannot complain.

Lebara on its unlimited sim tariff limits the traffic somewhat with some sort of packet inspection. On my kids' tablets YouTube streaming was patchy/not working until I fired my VPN up. Even my IP cameras and my Firestick 4K weren't working at some point. I eventually took the Lebara sim out of my D-Link router and plugged it inside an unlocked 4GEE mobile min router yesterday and since everything work again as intended..I don't know if it's Vodafone or Lebara, anyway, I will use VOXY sim next. Maybe with a proper router like Asus RT-AX86U or similar you can install a VPN on it and bypass those restrictions,I couldn't since my basic routers did not support VPN. Just a warning for people who found themselves with internet issues like me.

I joined Lebara 6 months ago on a 6months 50% off. Any way i can switch to this plan? I can be without discount, i don't mind. Currenly paying £6.95 for 12gb. It's £1 for 9gb more

If I go to France for a short holiday, can I Call UK using this sim? Would I get charged or would it come from my free mine?Thank you

I have been with Lebara for 2 years. In the past three months I have had at least a dozen instances where I could get no data (despite showing 4 or 5G and decent bars). Iphone just says offline. I've spoken to Lebara a number of times about this and they are aware of the problem and it will be fixed soon....its been since beginning of August and happened again this weekend. Also- doesn't roam naturally. You have to connect to a wifi network and then download a profile they text you and then restart your phone. Not great for when you need to order an uber from the airport (they are also aware of this and are in talks with vodafone about it).

They were GREAT, they are now a tier 2 network in my eyes (edited)

I think when it comes to roaming, I read that you can download the profile pre-flight so you’re all prepared when you land. (Replying just to make other users aware)
But please let me know if I’ve misunderstood!!

Anyone have the issue with Lebara where auto renewal keeps turning itself off? Customer support said it needs to be on to ensure I get the deal price and even enabled from their side...but then it turned itself off again (auto renewal also lists the price as the full price rather than the discounted one) (edited)

Decent amount of data for most people, at a good price for short term needs or holiday in Europe ♨️
