Got this and it’s crap - you better off spending money on a decent jack

I payed 25 for this year's back. The jack is aweful and I still havent even used the slider thing. Better off just buying a decent jack..but it does ok for my occasional DIY jobs.. but not good on my 4x4 and no good on going under my lowered classic.

Would this help get my washing machine out of a tight space? Can’t get round the back or sides of it to lift it up and over a toilet. Cheers

It won’t lift as high as a toilet seat that’s for sure. I’m having fun trying to imagine the position of your washing machine though (in a tight corner immediately next to a toilet?).

That’s actually cheaper then it is with a trade card.

People saying it’s crap, it’s not designed for high and heavy lifting it’s really only for doing basic jobs (a better option than using a scissor jack or them god forsaken widdowmaker ones). It’s definitely more than useful for small jobs. Had my set for several years now and I use the jack when I can as it’s less cumbersome than the trolley jack. The axle stands are actually better than the higher tonnage versions and the others bits are fairly useful.

People expect pro gear for peanuts here I’ve noticed. If you want a jack so much better you’ll pay double (or more) this for it and you’ll still have to buy the rest of the gear.

Which is better option, this or the ramp deal posted for doing oil/oil filter change myself? (edited)

Ramps are safer and easier. You might not even need a lift for clearance for oil and an oil filter. If your filter is easy to access (or above) and you have a low profile oil container.

Buyer a proper jack and decent axle stands. Something like SGS. Halfords advanced stands are fine.

The jack won't lift a vw passat high enough to remove a wheel - block of wood needed to increase height.
