sorted by- AuthorWell I wouldn't use instant ink again either, but that's a choice of the individual, and in my view doesn't change the deal. You can still get the price, the extended warranty and the cashback without subscribing to instant ink.why wouldnt u use instant ink again? (edited)
- I bought it directly from HP
- Why would anyone want to use subscription-based ink? You know you're going to get ripped off
Refillable cartridges all the way...Has saved me hundreds of pounds. - Oh and there's extra 3 months free instant ink by the way if anyone wants it, need to put a code in when registering for instant inkWhat code?
- I bought a HP printer hardly use it, every so often keeps cleaning heads and using ink, replacement cartridges around 40 quid.... A joke wish I'd saved my money and not bought a 'good deal' that's been costing me ever since 😳
- AuthorThe 9010 is faster at printing, auto 2 sided printing (duplex), duplex document feeder for 2 sided scanning, higher capacity paper tray.
- Cool thanks
Might see if Currys will price match in store so I can collect today, assuming it would still be eligible for the cashback...
Edit- ignore that, Currys don't have this exact model, went for the cheaper one after all (edited) - The HP Smart wifi app seems to require a decent internet connection, even if you don't use the instant ink.
I don't use it that often, and each time I have go through the setup again, only to see it repeatedly fail. Seems to be no way to connect to both ethernet and wifi computers nor navigate across wifi extenders. To quote one review on the microsoft store "This is the most frustrating software I've encountered in the 40+ years I've been using computers."It is a pesky little bugger , I admit . - Been after one of these for a while, nice spot!
- Two reasons not to buy it
1) it's HP and they don't support their products well at all
2) It's inkjet and when they say 1500 pages that's printed all in one go, every time you switch it on and off it wastes ink cleaning the heads
At this price point it's into laser money and they are much much better and the print from mine last week said it had done nearly 5000 pages with the original cartridge just begining to run out and an OEM high capacity toner costing just £45Why do you switch on and off, not just let it sleep? - clearly, i get new packade of ink if i have 50% and below. And after 6month i can't using this ink bcs is HP+ with req subscription and internet?
- Same price on the HP Store, does that qualify for the cashback? Is there a list of retailers for this offer?
- Get ~700 pages worth of printing out of the box. -100 pages for the likes of 4130e out of the box. Mind you replacement OEM cartridges for this are £70, only £35 (XL) for the 4130e.
20p per colour page for the 4130e
10p per colour page for the 9010e (edited)But you get 700 pages a month for 12 months with the 4130, for no extra cost (other than paper)
Then cancel or downgrade at the end of the 12 month free period - We've had this printer for a small business for about 18 montns and to be fair it's been used alot more than we expected, we used it with instant ink on the 700 page per month and sometimes the 1500 page per month plan for about £45 per month. Well the printer is now completly falling to bits, it jams ever few prints, sometimes it just turns itself off, crashes, refuses to print. It's been a frustrating machine, and we had the previous 8620 or so and that did last alot longer so I don't think we will get another. Will probably get a small office lazer printer. (edited)unless you are printing photos you should have switcher over to laser a long time ago
