If you have an S20 Ultra or S21 Ultra you could easily hold out 3 months & get the S23 Ultra. As it stands S20U/S21U/S22U don't have enough differentiation between them for it to make sense to jump from one to the next.

Jumping to the S21 Ultra from the S10+ wasn't that much of a change, so jumping from a S20U or S21U will feel like £450-£550 for the same phone.

The S23U won't be that different either tbh but I guess you're paying for the extra year of OS updates & the first new Main Camera sensor on an S Ultra since the S20U & at least it will be cutting edge when you purchase it in Feb.

But if you are going from an s20 ultra to this, then you are gaining an extra 2 years of updates anyway

Shame it's the Exynos version. I got the s21 ultra 256gb Exynos and I dislike the phone. Battery is so so. Camera is great but over heats when continuously recording. Wasn't a great buy, and been wanting to change it but conflicted about buying the 22U.

Not exactly a great deal.. been better deals where you could have got the phone for even cheaper.

Better just wait for the S23 series.

As will the s23 ultra, suppose we could just wait for the s48 ultra instead, as I've heard that will have rocket boosters and sits own servant with it

You've missed the boat slightly with a cheap Pixel 7 pro. Best to get a Pixel in the UK on preorder from Google and sell the goodies .. I did that, sold the watch for nearly £250, 10% off blue light discount, 10% credit back from Google one storage plan .. £500 for the phone .. sold my Pixel 6 Pro for nearly £400 .. not bad .. couldn't justify a Samsung Ultra or iPhone Pro with those sums

Thanks MrSwitch, as soon as i saw this remembered i had an s8 with cracked screen where about 1/4 of the screen was black, but the touch screen was still working, powered it up, wiped it and took it in, got the ultra 512gb for 43/month with voda with 250gb and 99 upfront, the trade in made it no upfront cost and 66 in my bank account, they gave me 165 for the s8 in arguably working order £966 for a the 512gb ultra with 250gb plan over 2 years is a cracking deal. Only downside is they only had the green in warehouse, all the other colours are out of stock until the 25th, and there were 15 greens 512gb remaining at 6pm today, stock might be out until the 25th

Not a bad deal, but seriously buy a non working phone to trade in for £151as the prices offered are a bit of a joke. Can get around £175-200 for a P30 Pro in good condition on the bay, they're offering £84. (edited)

Ordered mine on the website after waiting 2 days for Currys to answer anything about the offer (they didnt have any info on it at all)

Ordered the phone and received a confirmation and order number. Phone was meant to arrive today. It didn't. Phoned up to check, south African call centre. Order not on system. Not sure what to even say. hundreds of pounds currently down the hole, no customer services in Britain to talk to. Going to call in to my local today but I can take a wild guess they'll want nothing to do with it. What a horrible experience to buy a phone.

If you do the trade in in store, I'm assuming you cannot combine with topcashback or anything? Im not sure whether to go for this (256gb model) through currys with in store trade in or through ID mobile on the 2 year contract with the boosted trade in

So I have a brand new Samsung s20fe, not sure if it's worth trading that in,
Also I have have the Poco M4 Pro, brand new

I'm thinking trade either one of these, both brand new and still in the boxes.

This worth the upgrade from Note 20 Ultra?

I've been through various Android phones and never had Apple, but the Note20's battery is so shot after two years that it's driving me nuts and I'd been seriously considering a 13 Pro Max. Reviews of this, and it's battery, don't fill me with optimism. That said, £470 off after trade in on this, compared to the Pro Max at £889...

Paid 580 for this phone in as new condition off bay.Sold it to clove for 630 after a week as the battery life is very average struggled to get five hours screen time a day,the phone itself is beautiful and the screen is amazing but it's just not efficient at all, could be the processor or could be the high brightness screen but it's far from a battery champion the Poco f3 I had lasted 8 hours screen time with a smaller battery and similar size screen.

Following a complete reset, or when you unbox for the very first time and use, it takes around 5 days for the phone to learn your usage patterns. After this, you'll easily spend a day on one charge in my experience.

Damn, I thought this meant I could buy an S21 Ultra for £449 but I realise they've been discontinued.

My refurb'd S10+ 512GB's screen finally packed in after being dropped most days for 2+ years.
I feel like nothing that's around just now is that much of an upgrade, but settled on S21 Ultra for good balance of features/security updates and not as expensive as S22U. The camera is the main thing that matters to me. I briefly considered Pixel but feel a bit unconvinced as a loyal Samsung user.
I'm thinking I should buy something outright so not dealing with the inflation issue on contracts, and I'd have the option to trade up if S23 Ultra seems desirable in a year's time.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but penny for your thoughts?
