Nice hardware let down by the software which supposedly ends in Feb 2023 but is already stuck on the March 2022 security patch set.

Agreed it's a shame as it's an absolutely brilliant bit of kit! That said, it wouldn't put me off simply becuase of how good it is. I can manage on Android 11 so long as everything continues to work.

Don't bother. For a few Squid more the new Honor Pad 8 blows it out the water

On what basis? They are both fairly comparable in specs (thought the external SD card option is a big plus for the Lenovo IMHO), the Honor Pad uses the lesser Cortex A73/A53 architecture compared the the faster A76/A55 in the P11 Plus, and benchmarks generally show the Lenovo tablet to be superior.

Sorry for being a bit clueless, but why is this better than something like this Blackview tablet. You appear to get far more spec for your money?
    Chris_R23's avatar
Well better CPU/GPU ...GPU performance about double..bigger battery this has and the blackview I don't think will get any updates.. definitely not a android version upgrade..also this has quad speakers and ufs storage..just better in every department really..I guess the only thing that the blackview has over this version of Lenovo is it can accept a 4g SIM..if you want that..

I bought a second hand ( new opened ) Lenovo Chromebook with touchscreen and 8 GB ram , 256gb and Intel i5 , 11th Gen 13.3 screen . Much better than this for similar price as Android apps work on Chromebook now . (edited)

I have this tablet and it's excellent. There has been an update to Android 12 since I've had it, but it won't connect through a USB C dongle to HDMI, which is it's only drawback. Unless anyone has any solutions. Definitely worth the money though

Is it worth getting the 6GB 128gb version for £50 more (£229)

Go for the 4GB 128gb one at £199, seems a decent compromise
  14. david_robinson94's avatar
How is the actual performance on this? From what I can tell the SOC is about equal to the Apple A10 which came out back in 2016.
    Chris_R23's avatar
yea benchmarks definately suggest same performance..i guess when the a10 got released it was a high end chip..

using this tablet most days for some games/youtube/plex and surfing its absolutely fine, no hiccups, i dont go on high end games like genshin etc, but i guess if the settings are tweaked you will get a smooth gameplay experience

probably should add i use the 6gb version, so maybe makes things a bit smoother (edited)
