For anyone not seeing the price you need to add the £203 ones to the basket. It then knocks off 20% bringing the price down to £162

This is the best comment of the year, thanks.
I gave up on 'this' at 6am today as it appeared to be OOS.
Now with a casual visit 7 hours later, I finally understand how to get the deal (and have)
    You rock!

p.s. OK, I might be stupid not to have got it earlier! (edited)

I have a Bose quiet comfort 35 II, would these ones be a massive upgrade?

Sound wise an upgrade but not massive. Comfort wise a downgrade.

Mine just arrived (like new/damaged box, 98%+ battery left advert) - headphones have scratches and marks, dirt and bits of what looks like dandruff under the headphone pads, plus other bits of dirt I can't identify.

    Going straight back!

It's crazy how much luck is involved in warehouse deals.. they sound awful and would probably get returned by most people even if they had been listed as good, let alone like new!

Edit: maybe the luck aspect makes warehouse purchases a bit more fun (in the way that gambling is fun I suppose) than your average purchase lol. You feel like you've won something when you get the same as brand new, and you get to return if not , (edited)

I have a pair of WH-1000XM2's that are in perfect condition still and I love them.
    Is it worth the upgrade?

Stick with them if your happy I have the MX3's I don't really see the need to upgrade and with your version you had a better solid headphone frame.

This… it’s almost 30-40% less. I doubt these headphones would go wrong less than 2 years

Wow! Got mine today. The sound quality is amazing!! Listening to 8D music on YouTube and these are by far the best headphones I've ever owned. Mine were about £10 over the deal price as I stalled on buying but they're absolutely pristine. Had to give a 6 digit code from the app on delivery.

Having not seen xm3's, I double checked in the app as the thought had crossed my mind, partly cos of my creaky hinges . Dodgy previous customer not picked up by returns team I'd guess. I hope they look at and record the history of returns like this to see if there is a pattern. (edited)

What?! Did you see earlier comment too? I feel like I slightly abuse Amazon s return policy by opening something, trying it and returning it.

Others seem to use it as a method to upgrade or exchange for free 😳 (edited)

In my experience, everything I have ordered from warehouse has been immaculate. Pretty sure they just grab one of the shelf.

I've had terrible luck with Amazon Warehouse. "Like New" earphones have had ear wax in them, moniors have had dead pixels.

Thanks for the heads up about how great these headphones are but I might do Argos at £219 but through Quidco for £20 off a £100+ spend.
    tanked's avatar

or better yet, £25 quidco cashback at Currys at £219

These or Anker Q30 for £56? For someone who will mainly use them at the gym
    chaz1992's avatar
    chaz1992
I have the xm2 and used them at the gym. The noise cancellation is amazing on the Sonys and you won’t be able to hear the terrible gym music they have on.

On the flip side, head sweat will destroy/ruin the ear padding though so think twice about spending so much on gym headphones. The other thing of note is any motion you make close to your ear will likely trigger gesture controls. Maybe you can disable this feature using an app or something but it does get annoying if the song restarts every rep you do where you brush past your ear.

careful with this- i had bought other used Amazon warehouse stuff before, and even though says like new, there were obvious signs of usage. Id go for it only if you are willing to return if its not as described. (edited)

Still available if you're happy with 'used -very good' option. just go to other pricing options -> the 20% discount is mentioned there, it's not on the main product page. The discount would apply in checkout.

Just get the Anker Q30 headphones for around £60-70. They sound better the XM4 I’m comparing against right now.
Also new model q45 is out and on sale at £97.

Got mine today & glad to say they were in pristine condition for Used item.

    Sharing my thoughts.

Build quality of the Sony is top notch & look high end.
I was although surprised to discover the Music playback quality is 2 notches below the budget kings Anker Soundcore Q30 which I already have for my daily commute.

Even after drastic Equ the level of clarity and balance is not the same. Done A-B of both for a good while now and tried everything to get the Sony’s sound closer to the Q30.

See EQ pic in case it helps you. Defo better than the standard muffled sound with standard EQ.

Fortunately it’s a purchase mainly for ANC and the high build quality that hopefully lasts long time on daily commutes.

Going to see how much better the Sony ANC is on the commute this week and than decide if they are keepers.
Might otherwise get the newest soundcore Q45 model.

Mine just arrived. In pristine condition, battery was flat when it arrived. Charged up and tested - all good.
No damage to outer packaging whatsoever.
Had been paired to 3 devices already so it was definitely a return!

    Andy_Pipkin_'s avatar

They don't work very well for Teams calls - only supports the low quality hands free connection profile. This can be disappointing for many buyers.

Mine arrived the quality is brand new, only issue was they had lots of dust on the box, like diesel fumes that build up on windows on busy roads, that sort of dust, apart from the dusty box they where fine.. (edited)

Mine just arrived, listening to them now - Amazing quality, really happy with my purchase

Condition - reboxed (as stated) - everything complete and in excellent condition, can't see a single sign of use anywhere

Came with carry case, charging cable, 3.5mm cable and airplane headphone adapter, no instructions but plenty of youtube videos if you need them.

    10/10 from me

Mine arrived - similar condition to comment above, literally no damages on the box, flawless headphones, every manual came sealed, cables provided and sealed…. I don’t know what the catch was
  34. wrdavies's avatar

Received a 'Used - Very Good' pair today. Battery dead and case scratched with the 3.5mm cable screwed up inside, so I suspect they've been used for at least a few days.

The 'minor interior imperfection' was inside both cups and looks to be a combination of make-up / other dirt from skin of previous owner. I know for many people this will be ok given the cost saving, but I'm personally going to return them.

I will try a 'Used - Like New' pair (for an extra tenner) before giving up and buying new.
    Maaark's avatar
    Maaark
Do it. I found the "like new" really felt like new, I could see the side by side difference Vs my "very good" pair, which seemed fine until I had the like new to compare them against.

Box not damaged either so I'm guessing just someone (clean and normal lol - I'd have to give them a wipe if I saw I'd left something on them!) bought them new and decided they didn't like them and they came right back. (edited)
