    Hot for the deal. However

We had availed a similar deal a couple of years back. There wasn't much to do for two days. The zoo was small and the weather was awful.

We had our breakfast the next day and drove back home.

You can probably plan some other activity on day 2 outside the park, check out, have breakfast and drive to your planned activity.

Whilst i didnt mention the Weather on our trip,i did check it on the BBC site to get some idea of what to expect. And worth doing the same if your booking this.

I did one of these deals through Groupon a few years back, but for a different Zoo.Its a great way of missing the crowds and not having to get up early to travel if your coming from a distance away.Whilst it says 2 day entry i think it applies only to entrance after a certain time on the first day, worth checking.

I stayed here a couple of days ago. Had a nice time. Nice hotel, Sealife centre was open.

Check on booking.com before you book. The zootastic offer only gives access to the zoo for one free day for most days I checked. For me it worked out cheaper booking onbooking.com (£99 and zoo entry(14x4=£56) £155 vs £169 as part of the zootastic offer. Safari double room with bunk beds for stay on 14th Jan. (edited)

Great themed hotel this! It would be way better if the theme park was included though as the zoo isn’t very big. Probably 4 hours or so and you’ll be bored.
    Unsane's avatar
Zoo management need to get creative so that visitors stay longer than four hours.

How about 'Tiger Tickle' where random dads are invited into the tigers den to engage with the wildlife.

    Should be fun. (edited)

Has anybody stayed on a Friday? I know you only get one day entry to the zoo which will be the Saturday but I wondered whether the entertainment is on the Friday night? Thanks

Thanks for this Chanchi. Been looking for something moderately interesting to do for the little one's birthday in late Feb having been quoted stupid money for birthday parties that feature essentially nothing for £300, so this is an absolute bargain in comparison. Doesn't matter if it's not quite Chester Zoo or rainy, the lad will love it and I'm sure I'll find some entertainment at the bottom of a bottle of red wine in the hotel bar

Check in 1500 on Friday, checkout 1000 on Saturday. Am I missing something?
Can you turn up before check in and visit the park??
    RandomUser30's avatar
Yes, it's completely fine. It's just that you won't get the key until check-ib time

I've just booked a hotel stay for this Saturday in Kingston for our family, this would've been better value since it also includes breakfast, zoo entry and the indoor pool which looks like fun for our small kids. Not sure if parking is free too at the hotel but that's also a boon

What do you do on the day of check in then? Ticket is only valid for day of checkout.

Looks like you can book the splash pool from 1pm on check in day, but don't quote me on that. Otherwise I saw mention of evening entertainment with Cocomelon which I assume must be that day... Details are a bit sketchy!

Did it last year - half the park closed wasn’t worth it.

We did this last year with our 2 children. Was a brilliant weekend and they keep asking to go back. The zoo is not massive but you can easily spend a few hours walking around, the Sea Life centre is included as well. But the best part for us was the hotel experience. We booked a zebra themed room, it was amazing. My kids had a little treat left on their pillows for arrival, there were different activities to do in the hotel like a free treasure hunt (ask at reception) with quite a decent prize at the end and board games to borrow etc. The best part was the splash pool that was there. The whole weekend was so worth the money!

Heads up the sealife centre is closed until April

Anyone know why the main theme park is closed?

Just seems to be closed season, from the reading I did last night. Nothing more exciting than that from what I can tell.
