Credit to who spotted the Amazon deal for this one and who I shamelessly nicked the description from. Having missed out on that chance I had a wee nosy and spotted that Argos have the Shark available at the same price. Earlier today delivery was not available for lots of postcodes I checked but then just picked one up myself in Edinburgh today. Stock is available in shops still.

Is this better than the upright one with similar description advertised at the weekend?

That one was at a completely different pricing point though wasn't it? Ended up using it a fair bit yesterday and we were rather pleased. Might be more of a question of the amount you're willing to spend and use cases.

I bought this and thinking of returning it. It doesn’t have the suction power or the airwatts compared to other cylinder vacuum cleaners. It got a roller brush and an 850w motor. The theory is the roller will pick up the dust and the lower suction power will take it to the cylinder. But many a times I saw it spitting out the dust when you switch off the vaccum

Need a new hoover currently using a 3 year old shark.. Meant to ask what the suction is like on this both the shark upright corded and Dyson v6 cordless lost 20/40 % I would say after the first 12 to 18 months.. Not really good to be honest and cleaned regularly as per instructions (before any die hard fans chip In with I've had the same Dyson for 15 years, never caused me any issues.. Trigger and 'same broom' come to mind..) (edited)

I always used bagless ones and recently swapped to one using bags and I will never go back. I suffer from few different allergies (dust, dust mites..)and cleaning bagless vacuum was a pain and I was always ending up with itchy eyes and sneezing for another few hours after. Never again, now I just throw away bag when it's full and done easy quick and clean.

How do you know whether or not the bag is full at a glance? Sorry it seems silly I've always used bagless vacuums for various reasons

We have a upright Shark currently and its not great after 4 years of use. Would this type of design be an adequate replacement? As in not an upright, ‘standard’ hoover? 5 bed house for size purposes. (edited)

Have you given it a clean? I'm not sure on the Shark's but any vacuum I've had in the past has benefited from breaking it down as much as you can and cleaning out filters etc

    Any good for allergy sufferers?

It does state the following: Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not releasing them back into the air you breathe. (Based on IEC standard 62885-2 Cl. 5.11 at 0.3 to 10 microns).

    Hope that fits your requirements.

Got this paid more for it, please with it, nice to have the power buttons on the handle, anti hair wrap works well, but still need to intervene every now and then

To be fair, looking at the pictures of the "property" itself there might just as well be a cleaner at work ;).

Is this better than Henry? Getting dog hair off carpets is a bit of a shocker.
