I have a Irwin knife like this and it's rubbish the blade always pulls out I wouldn't but another auto blade change knife

I have this, blade has pulled out a couple of times so I know what you mean, but that’s a couple of times a year, I’m pretty happy with it

Recently purchased this knife and really like, mainly because I can put in my pocket when working and minimal chance of me stabbing myself with it.

as it folds, why does it also retract? Seams like it would just need one or the other? I like the simpler Milwaukee fast backs.
