Had it delivered to mine but saw a crack bottom corner of the case when it arrived. Guessing it got knocked about during transit. Took it to a store nearby and exchanged the whole thing. Just something to note… worth double checking.

Bargain.. been using Halfords tools for years as an amateur home mechanic and they have always been very good and reliable :-)

Great replacement service too. I broke a hex bit and took it in 5 years after purchase and no questions asked. Definitely rate them as a home mechanic set.

Does the lifetime warranty cover the plastic box incase of any cracks or hinges wearing out?

I've heard some people get them replaced and others haven't. If they say no just try another halfords or pop in another day when another staff member is it

Great set. Got mine when they were half price at £100, best part of a decade ago The tools have out-lasted all my cars, which is a good sign!

Bought one of these the other year for £180 with discount codes using 10% discounted vouchers through a previous employers 'rewards' scheme meaning it was really £162 .

Tools really feel well built , been using it since then working on my own and friends/family cars , ratcheting spanners are a great addition . Never had reason to return anything but read everywhere that they swap no questions asked .

I still use the older set got it in black friday years ago (2014 ish) for £135 with various discounts, prices have risen quite a bit, but use it every time I'm in the garage so well worth it, this set you get slightly different parts which are better tbh👌

Great set, used mine to change 3 clutches, 1 included changing the dmf and ive changed multiple timing belts, water pumps and alternators and not needed any other tools apart from the 2 foot advanced breaker bar i bought for hub nuts, actually i lied, i also used a torque wrench for some bolts (edited)

How long is this likely to be on for? I want to use my enhanced withdrawal amount from quidco (which pays an extra 8%for halfords) but states it takes upto 6 days and can only be used in store??
