Out of interest, for people looking at buying this, what are you upgrading from?

I went from a 5600X to a 5600G so I could get rid of the GPU and make the PC use as little power as possible. For tasks like encoding videos, there's very little difference between the two. The 5600G doesn't produce the temperature spikes that the 5600X used to.

Also, the 5600G gives acceptable performance in Civilization VI which is the only PC game I play these days. So overall, I am very pleased with it!

would this play 4k movies at 60hz without a discreet card?
thinking of getting it for a media centre if it does. My old 6700k intel isnt upgradeable to win 11 .

It's powerful enough, but I think you'll need HDMI 2.0 ports on your motherboard if you want 60Hz, so worth checking that beforehand.

Those wondering the difference between the 5600G and 5600X.
    G has IGPU.
X has PCI-e 4.0 support, more cache, higher base frequency.

Remember buying his last year for 165 and thought that was a good deal

Would this make a cheap low powered gaming rig? I have a 5800x but might send it back as I’ve heard it runs hot. My old gaming rig was an i5 7400….

Would love to make a tiny build with one of these.

I'm using this processor now and it probably cost me around £140. I love it, it's easily fast enough for productivity and the inbuilt graphics are far better than Intel processors I've used. Also with all my apps open my PC typically draws about 50 watts - that adds up when energy prices are high, it'll probably pay for itself in a year or two.

Good deal, great CPU if on a tight budget

Will this work for ages of empires 2? My father in law wants a new build purely for AOE

I've been keeping an eye on a few threads and people keep mentioning B450 boards without ever actually giving specific recommendations.

What would be a suggestion for an atx board? I'd not be adding a gpu, but as long as I can run dual monitor's of it, that's pretty much my only concern, the cheaper the better

Now at £110, have picked up vs. the German Amazon price being around £3 cheaper but this is getting delivered tomorrow before 1pm, worth the £3 IMO.

Would there be any difference for warranty between paying a couple more quid for sold by amazon or a third party seller (dispatched by Amazon)?

How long is the warranty for these and how long would you get if you bought it through Warehouse deal?

    Cheers!
