Guess this is to rival Guinness, especially with St.Patrick's Day soon. Don't know what this stuff is like but seems like a good deal at £1 a can.

Forget everything you know about stout. Forget what you think it tastes like. And forget having to go to Dublin to get a good pint of it.

There’s a new stout in town, and it’s demanding your attention. Chocolate and extra dark crystal malts give layers of roasted, toasted coffee and cocoa, with a hint of caramel coming through.

Classic stout, brewed in and for this century. Old dog, new tricks.

Im going to buck the trend here and say I was massively disappointed in this, I found it to be lifeless and bland, I was really looking forward to it as well given that I love the original Jet Black Heart, maybe I got a bad batch or something?

I was the same as you mate. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it…

Was just about to post this as having my first taste right now using a Guinness Nitrosurge to pour it.

Yeah, I was going to post that it works well with the Guinness Nitrosurge thing. I picked up 4 cans of Black Heart with the Nitrosurge and 4 cans of the Guinness at the weekend and got to say that I preferred this to the Guinness, both equally as thick and creamy but the Brewdog was a bit tastier.

If you like BrewDog stouts then try Cake Cartel, 4 packs in home bargains for £4, it's stronger than this and decent for the price. (edited)

Had a few the other day, have to say as a proud Irishman, it's not bad!

As a fellow proud Irishman, I have to concur, although it's not quite up there with a (good) pint of draft Guinness.

Didn't see the 4 for £4 offer in my local Tesco - I paid £12 for 10 tins yesterday.

Decent stout, more taste than guinness

A low bar. Guinness is a lousy stout.

I tried a can on Saturday. £1.47 for a single can. I think it's very good! And definitely a great competitor to Guinness. Worth a try for sure!! I enjoyed it

It’s very good, had a free pint at one of the pubs in Twickenham for the rugby. Guinness isn’t the only stout in the world remember!

Nice to see an alternative on the market. Only ever see Murphy's in B&M and have never come across Belhaven Black. Mackies is normally in Sainsbury's but it's a bit on the weak side.

A poor attempt to mimic Scotland's mighty Belhaven Black. Cold

Tried this on Saturday and it's pretty decent. More bitter than Guinness but definitely tastier. By coincidence I bought some cans of Belhaven Black a couple of weeks ago and despite them having a widget the head disappeared very quickly, but still very good on draft.

Good deal, just a shame its not the 'jet black heart' stout they do.

They’ve stopped doing it and made this to compete with Guinness. At least, that’s what the bartender at my local brewdog told me. They’ve started to do another milk stout which I’ve not tried yet

Hey all, soon ill be in England and i love to buy beer and other great stuff like cakes. However, Im from the Netherlands and it makes me unable to register a clubcard (and/or install the app). anyone has any suggestion for me on this. basically all im interested in, is the discounts :-)

Let me rephrase that for you, "can someone give you their clubcard number to use"

Can this be stock checked? My local didn’t have this in but eager to try it
    astyy's avatar
The Tesco app gives an indication of stock at your selected store. At mine (Basingstoke) there was a pallet full in the refrigerated food section, so may not be where you expect.

Black heart? Jet black heart is the one you want.
