A 43in 4ktv from a reputable manufacturer, provided with a 5 year guarantee.

As far as I understand at this price it is hard to get a non rebranded TV. So if you're wanting a well built 4ktv delivered with care and with a decent warranty on it then surely this is a good price.

Same TV was voted at 179' for a refurbished model with a 12 month warranty only for fifty quid less.

hotukdeals.com/deals/see-samsung-43-inch-smart-tv-4k-ultra-hd-alexa-compatible-ue43au7100-ps299-at-ao-ebay-4106781

Of course you can get better spec from lesser manufacturers, and maybe from lesser retailers. But if you're buying a cheap 4ktv you surely want the confidence provided by a guarantee and a reliable retailer?

I'm not interested in buying a TV a hundred pounds cheaper which has more bells and whistles, but dies or has dead pixels after six months and is a pain to get returned.

If anyone can feedback on this deal as to why its good or bad then that's really valuable info.

Bought a 50" Samsung 4 years ago for £550. Packed in and JL refunded me the price of their cheapest 50" tv a £299 Toshiba.

Understand tech. moves quickly but warranty is a bit of a joke.

Helpful to know the warranty is not so simple. Any recommendations?

Anyone buying any tv without a 5yr warranty is asking for trouble.
You won`t get anyone to even look at it for less than £100 if it goes wrong no matter what` s wrong with it.

What are you going to do after 12 months after spending £300, £400, £500 plus, scrap it or repair it?

Personally I've rarely had a TV fail, when it has, its been over 5 years.

Seems to be £349 everywhere BUT JLP gives a 5 year warranty which you will definitely need.

Richer sounds £329 but only a 1 yr warranty.

Great price with 5 year warranty

Got this last month at this price and very happy with it. Seen some comments suggesting it's laggy but not really experienced that.

We got it after a hisense failed from JL. We got the full cost less £20 refunded. Just noting for balance.

Thanks for your taking the time to comment. How were JL to deal with, was it hassle to prove the TV was broken? Hard to return or anything?

I'm very much considering this TV, how do you find it for upscaling SD/HD content?

Theres decent 55 inch tvs out there for less. Very expensive for a 43.

179 degrees. Same TV refurbished with a 12 month warranty.

Don't really know how it works with other companies. They said the £299 Toshiba is similar specs. to the £550 Samsung I bought 4 years ago?!

Anyway, just ordered a LG OLED48A26LA for under £600 after TCB.

Hopefully this will last more than 5 years. Won't be using JL again.

So they actually gave you £300? That's not too bad in my opinion actually, at least they didn't lump you with the Toshiba.

Haven’t these AU 7000 etc have all gone up in price?

Came out in 2021. Just save up a bit more for something better

Apparently the 2022 version is disappointing whereas this was widely praised for being one of the best budget 4ktvs.

I find it funny that for another TV I posted the mods deleted it and said that the price wasn't special, and that a five year warranty wasn't anything they would consider in determining if something is a deal.

This TV is at this price elsewhere too, but commenters appreciate the five year warranty on it, as its a large, delicate and for some an expensive tech purchase.

Now that this has gone over 100 degrees we've got a mod in here adding extra info to max out those click through bucks.

I bought this at the end of last year. I learnt that you could play your xbox live direct through the tv. It is one of the 2021 tvs that are capable of doing this. I found instructions how to do it through a forum or two and bobs your uncle downloaded the xbox game pass app, paired the xbox controllers and I can play xbox live without an attached xbox. If this capability benefits you, it makes this tv a great purchase.

When it comes to is and app availability I recently concluded a fire stick makes this all irrelevant. But the game pass app I am guessing would be one that might disappear from this TV before newer ones.

    Pretty sweet functionality though
