They’re rehashed from old and new bits, give ‘em a YouTube.
These are a form of 470/570, which is better since the 580 was terribly overvolted and overclocked. The 470 was the sweet spot for this GPU die. For newer games, the 470 level of performance is obsolete now, being around 50% of the 6600M. The 6600M struggles at 1080P with good settings at 60fps in 2023 games.
Of course, it is 60quid for the '580', around 150 for the 6600M or 5700XT. To double performance again and be safe at 1440P, one has to leap to near 500 quid for the 6800(non-xt).
The new Jedi game is almost out, and testers have found even the 3060TI (a somewhat cut down 3070) doesn't cut it. PC gamers are currently facing 400 quid as a minimum for an 'acceptable' GPU (for 1440p gaming).

I'm not in any rush as things stand but I'm wondering if you think that once these have sold out, there'll be a similar option (cost/price) or if I may as well pull the pin and grab one now? I've got a Gigabyte Gaming X B550 mobo, 5600G and 16gb Ballisitx (e-die) which I've just finished setting up and figure it'll last me a solid 5+ years (as long as nothing dies) for regular usage, but I'd be needing a GPU if I want to do a little gaming.
I dont game on my pc but I'm not really using my Xbox Series S and I think I'll probably sell it before the resale prices drop any further (I should be able to sell it for what it cost me).
They've been selling thousands of them but the question is how sustainable is that. I don't know but there are warehouses in China which are full of thousands of cards mining away.
If in doubt get one, and you won't be disappointed when they do sell out.
Alternatively, keep an eye on known branded ones on eBay and you can get them cheaper if you're lucky. Have a look at recent sales to get an idea, then set a max price you'll bid and stick to it. If you're in no rush it's far easier to pick up bargings by doing that.
RX590 for £63 is what I paid.

I have a different ex-Chinese mining card that has been flogged to death for years but it looked almost new when it arrived and passed every stability test I could throw at it. Hot spot temps were high 90's when the card was pegged at 99% for an hour, and the fans had a slight grating to them when running a slow 900rpm, clearly had gritty bearings but can be fixed. Replaced the grey goo substance with MX-6, sweet!

£57 all in is sweet
For those on the fence, perhaps worried about actually receiving the items, I had a pop up from AliExpress saying that they advise paying after receipt of items. Never seen this option before.
Thanks.
The warranty is seller specific. They say they have a 3 year warranty but I don't know how easy it would be to get your money back in reality. (edited)
Looks like budget builds are back on the menu!
So, a 570 then?
Performance will be between 570 and 580.
The poster saying it'd take £500 to double the performance.
Would the RX580 be an upgrade from a 1060? What about a 1060 3GB? Looks like double the 32 bit floating operations which is how techpowerup ranks them.
I've been researching the 580. Seems a bit power hungry TBH. Why are people above saying this will be a 470/570/480? Are they not the 580 as advertised?
One more thing. My screen goes black for a couple of seconds a couple of times a day (14h). Sounds like a PSU issue right?
What could go wrong ?
The mining crash has flooded the market with them
No, really?
Mining cards are normally undervolted and run cooler anyway.
Rather that than a 2nd had card that's been overclocked and thrashed to death for gaming. (edited)

Im a total noob at pc builds but are there any other graphics cards i can be on the look out for in this price range ( second hand no bother)
That arent so power hungry
Or do i need to scrap my power supply ?
