If you aren’t with o2 for the sake of Volt then the other option would be to leave them and join a network that doesn’t have annual increases. LycaMobile use the same o2 signal and also have free EU roaming. Their prices are very competitive especially if you go via MSE. may be worth considering?
Dropping down to 3G generally is the answer to get usable data since there's less people on that system compared to 4G.
The issue is the Virgin Media merger. They've piled on so many new customers between introducing the Volt benefits, and also bringing everyone from Virgin Mobile over to o2 as well. All of these extra subscribers without investing in expanding their network infrastructure and boosting bandwidth capacity.
Obviously 1 month the reward card outweighs the monthly cost.
I really want a one month rolling contract to check how O2 compares in my area.
Anyone know the best solution to this?
Some of their plans can even be bought on eSIM so if your phone supports this you can be up and running in just a few minutes to try it out.
Then if you are happy you can then commit to this 12 month contract with more confidence.
My question is do I now have access to o2 priority? I've tried logging in with my virgin mobile and it doesn't work. Any tips?

The 30gb says 12 month contract and the 15gb says 1 month contract. However it looks like both will end up tieing you into a contract of 12 months.
Best to stay on rolling contracts and then just change when they inevitably push the price up.
I'm exhausted after having literally to spell EVERY single word to 2 different representatives and being put on hold countless times to be told that the account for the deal I've signed up to doesn't exist.
Yet I have received 3 emails, 2 with agreement contracts and 1 with an approval button and a text with an contract consent link.
After speaking to the assistant I clearly asked what sort of contract is being offered, is it 1 month rolling or is it 12 months or longer.
I was assured several times it would only be a 1 month rolling contract.
I asked why the credit check and all the ambiguous terms and conditions. They said that's just formality with any contract.
Anyway they offered me 20GB for £8 not 15GB if you go direct through them.
I said I didn't want to as I wanted the £20 Amazon voucher. Nothing they could do about that as it's not their deal.
The upshot of it is that I declined and said I won't be continuing.
If anyone else is I'd be a little wary as I'm still not sure of the contract length regardless of what they say, neither would I be hopeful of the £20 voucher actually being received.
Would have been much easier over live chat, but it doesn't exist for virgin mobile, another red flag. (edited)
However wouldn't we be able to cancel the contract within the first 14 days.
