Just discovered that someone tried to break in through our backdoor so as I already have Eufy doorbell decided to go for one of their cameras. This seems to be the lowest price on Amazon

  • 2K Resolution: When it comes to security, the key is in the detail. See exactly what is happening in and around your home in crisp 2K clarity.
  • Half-Year Security from 1 Charge: Avoid frequent trips to charge the battery and enjoy 180-day battery life from just one charge.
  • Detailed Night Vision: View recordings or live footage in crisp clarity, even at night, for a clear view of who’s there.
  • The Alerts* That Matter: Human detection technology enables the camera to intelligently detect body shape and face patterns. Ensuring you are only alerted when a person, and not a stray cat, approaches.
  • Ready for Any Weather: With an IP67 weatherproof-rating, eufyCam 2C Pro is built to withstand the elements.

I have these and the one at the back of my house is at 18% battery after 240 days, 1321 detected events, 1044 false events filtered by AI and 277 recorded and saved events (set to optimal battery life) if that helps you out..

Bypass the Eufy lies and "we don't need to register for mandatory data protection" hilarity by considering alternative with greater 3MP resolution, no need for hub, provides ongoing free 7 days rolling cloud footage via AWS, + microSD interface, supplied complete with solar recharging panel etc.
£46 fulfilled Amazon ASIN B08BNBJ6K1 archived for ref at web.archive.org/web…K1/

I think you'll find 2K is a far higher resolution than 3MP mate. (edited)

Awful CS. Don't expect any support if you need to claim on warranty

Eufy CS have been top class for me. Had an issue with the doorbell, they sent me a replacement straight away.

I thought I was having an issue with the homebase at month 11, but wasn't sure. They sent me a replacement homebase just in case. I have email proof

Never ever had CS as good as eufy (edited)

I've found charge lasts 3-4 months, and it gets triggered quite a lot as we are in and out the back garden a lot. Night vision is good and syncing with home base is easy.

You must be on a quiet street. Mine last a week maximum, if I'm lucky. They end up off most of the time as I can't be bothered to unscrew them, charge them up and put them back up.

These cameras are great because when you're buying houses if everyone has a camera doorbell or CCTV you know there's loads of crime/anti-social behaviour and to choose to live somewhere else.

I know Ring make out it's so you can see who's there before you answer the door but personally I just open the door. And tell them to go forth and multiply if it's TV Licensing again. (edited)

Good luck opening the door when you're not at home

Do they sell any you can link to the Doorbell Chime or do you always have to have this base station?

I believe it requires HomeBase 2. I got 2k doorbell and HomeBase 2 for £130 (with £25 cashback) on Black Friday

My Cam caught this cold caller he must have known they record. I complained to the company he was dealt with after and no knocks since.

We believe you called a potential customer a phallus head. Maybe? No further action taken lol

Thanks OP. I bought 2 cameras and hub black Friday deal and then added security chains and solar panels. Well impressed so far and would recommend.
Battery lasts 3 Months but depends how many triggers you have. (edited)

Can this be attached to a solar panel charger off Amazon?
    restyler's avatar
Yes - Just did it to mine last week, athough I had to make an adaptor lead to go from a 2.1 mm plug to micro usb - amazon link for £25 ring panel
In the last 3.5 hours its topped up the eufy camera battery by around 17%
