Aren't most 3G networks being turned off soon?
Three are in the process of phasing theirs out by the end of 2024.

When the network switches off 3G (data) your 3G phone will still work for calls and SMS.

    Thanks for posting this

I would like to buy this for an elderly relative.

Please can you let me if there any credit check or continued pay as you go billing required?

    Thanks

No cresit check, or monthly bill, just choose a sim at checkout (no need to pay for it) and just don't top the sim up on arrival.

How many do you think would fit up the average cavity , considering it's a smooth flip phone, lower profile, I reckon maybe 3?

Well certainly not 130, depends on the person, 1 for me, I'm guessing at least 8 for you?

Doesn't the iPhone you mentioned in the first line of your description merit a separate deal in its own right "iPhone 11 available in like new for £249 also" 🙋

In spite of my earlier comments spreading doom and gloom about 3G shutdown (which specifically referred to Vodafone), this is an excellent deal eminently suitable for a senior person and others who like a folding non-smartphone 🔥
EDIT : By the way, it will be quite some time before we lose 3G for all networks and in all areas. (edited)

Not letting me checkout, keeps giving error page after logging into PayPal saying there has been a problem with their systems. Guessing their servers are being hammered by HUKD users

Shame as I did want the Doro for an elderly relative...

EDIT: got it on third try.

Tempted to buy another as looking around this seems an extremely good price for these (Doro 6620).

Anyone had 'like new' phone off O2 before, how good is the condition? (edited)

There are a few comments on this thread about 3G switch off. Here is another interesting article (mainly referring to Vodafone) which is worth reading bbc.com/new…865

I remember 2G voice quality varying between bad and unusable. Unless things massively improved after we all jumped ship to 3G or higher that's likely to be a problem for many elderly users.

If you don't want a flip feature phone, this Alcatel is pretty decent for £19, 4G/VoLTE too -
    argos.co.uk/pro…2:1

Only downside I've found so far is the predictive text dictionary is missing a few basic words, and there's no £ character. (edited)
