I don't know if anyone needs this, but the price seems cheap to me. I guess you can also use it for other purposes.

PSA: THESE ARE AWEFUL AND OK

If you know what you're doing you can hook up a decent thermistor and get good performance. If not, the dwell time before the heater kicks back in is huge and will block up. You'll be waiting 15mins between fogging.

I bought 3 of them a few months back as a DIY fog bandit. They have 400w heater in them and are quite hackable. The wiring is intuitive and great for parts. Even the pump is worth a tenner.

Do you have details or a link to the thermistor hack please?

Its just a rebadged mini "disco" fog machine right?

Amazon product image of the back shows it says “prolight.co.uk” on it… they do foggers and stuff like that so my guess would be it’s just a mini fogger

Where do you buy the liquid for this? Amazon don't seem to sell it.
    Found it £16.99 for 5L - amazon.co.uk/San…h=1 (edited)

How does this disinfect the car air con please?

    MrTazPants
Fill it up, turn on the fogger, start the car and turn on the aircon to recycle mode, close the doors and come back in 30 mins. Job done.

I used to work in a nightclub and the dj was known to urinate in the bottle. If you have never smelt warm urine as mist then you have not lived.

Good lil machines these. Used to have several peppered around the laser arenas I used to run, can't fault them and had no problems with the Z400's - most reliable I've used and I've used some very expensive ones from the old 1st Leisure venues. Can't go wrong at a fiver.

So a few links to the liquid - but what’s the best value, where have people who have them got it from ?

Ive had some liquid for years, not sure where would be best place. I think Amazon or eBay should be reasonable price.

Machine cheap, but struggling to find the sanitising liquid. Demon Tweeks do sell it @£15.71 + delivery. Doesn’t look so much of a bargain?

    A fogger?

All you need is a dogger to get the party started.

This is a disco fog machine.

Nothing will stop your car smelling except cleaning it, no mist or can will ever do anything except spray a smell over the top of a stink, you might as well spray a can of lynx at your dashboard.

Weren't these for sanitising out your taxi during the Covid thing?
I used to just give the handles a wipe after smelly passengers and I had one of those screen/partitions to keep the old dears happy.

Power source for this is not from a cigarette lighter, but from the house socket.
Assuming you can park close to your house and have a long enough extension lead to connect this box, you won't be able to close the car door tightly - and this would most likely be required to get it working properly (with another assumption the purpose of this box is to indeed 'disinfect' the car interior).

    2)
Another thing - it doesn't have any timer / auto switch off mechanism.

I have a feeling they don't mention that on purpose but advertise the device as one for car use just to widen their chances to sell it.

Maybe it's cheap, but I'll pass. (edited)

Vaguely serious question - will this kill mould spores?
    Pigsy.'s avatar
    Pigsy.
I would think so, you'd have to wipe the walls down though... Obviously, prevention is better than the cure, well ventilated room - keep things from against the walls etc and you should be ok

This arrived today. Works perfectly with my fog liquid. £5 smoke machine bargain. 😁 Thanks OP.

The liquid bowser is a little small, so don't expect to fill a large area for hours, but perfect for house parties, man cave etc.
Kicks out plenty of smoke for the size. (edited)
