Got this off CS on Twitter, I queried the price rise as I was considering re-ordering:

Thanks for your patience. I’ve checked to see when/if you’ll be affected by this years price increase and it only applies to those who went live on our Broadband prior to the 24/Feb/23, as you mentioned your order date was 19/Feb/23 and your connection is not due to go live till 27/March/23 – you will not have a price increase this year. I hope this helps clear things up for you

Time will tell of course...! Hope this helps someone in a similar position. (edited)

Please login to Topcashback, then do broadband compare, find this deal and follow the link from there. Make purchase and it will track under your Topcashback.

If only the provider would confirm that on their website. (edited)

My 145 voucher became available today. Activated 5th march so decent speed.

Got the £135 voucher/email today also from going live on 17/3. Quite impressed with Vodafone all round so far

There is a prise rise and I’m sure it effects vodaphone ??? Any idea
    Immortal-Cat's avatar
I spoke to a service rep in person in two of their stores and both times they have confirmed that they’ll have a 13% price increase in April. I’ll be going back in next week to take the contract out so will see what they say then.  (edited)

is it too much to ask that when putting "existing customer", this should read "existing mobile customer" ?

Everytime I click on the deal, and realise it's not for existing broadband customers...

I am sorry - but problem is there is not much space to Fit everything. I could have put No price rise this year as well - but cant fit.
    Sorry.

Strange topcashback broadband compare only gives me the slow Fibre 2 option 67mb, but if I bypass topcashback and go via giftcloud then Vodafone, it gives me up to 900m speed (our street has been recently connected by CityFibre which powers Vodafone) . Does anyone know if I can get the gift card if I don't go the topcashback route (understand I won't get cashback) (edited)

The 200mb cap issue appears to stem from when Vodafone put this limit on in certain area's where they did not have sufficient backhaul. My area now has the backhaul but following the tcb route always directs me to 200mb. When going direct I can get the 500mb

    I'm currently on Sky's 500mb paying £46 a month with my own TP-Link router.

Anybody got any experience with Vodafone's Full Fibre service before I make any kind of switch. Are they reliable? Speeds consistent etc?
    TIA
    Tino_G's avatar
Currently on Vodafone's 900mb package. In terms of reliability, it's not dropped once. Depending on the package you go for they also provide a 4G dongle - which covers you if the connection drops.

The router Vodafone provide is pretty basic but has worked fine for me. The max speed I get over WiFi is around 600mb. Streaming, downloading, uploading and gaming have been totally smooth so I've been pretty happy with the service so far. (edited)

Moving to a new house so good timing on this.

Considering Vodafone (via Openreach) 500MB vs Virgin 500MB. Using my own mesh wifi system so their equipment isn't a concern. My priorities are reliability and consistency (i.e. getting decent ping times and speeds almost all day).

Not really a huge downloader so raw speed isn't the main thing for me.

I was on Virgin in a different home a couple of years ago and that was pretty reliable - probably only had 2 days of downtime over 2 years.

Any opinions on either right now?
    kokoroko's avatar
I was Virgin Media customer for 15 years absolutely dreadful provider ,never ever again want to deal with them. I am now with Vodafone over a year and so far zero problems and reliable
  13. Godsnafu's avatar
    Think I'll go on this.
Virgin want £60 now for our 200m. Tried cancelling yesterday and got messed around for 45mins on the phone and passed to 4 different VM staff members (one of who worked in tech and had no idea why I'd been transferred). The crappy customer service sealed the deal. I'm out.

The savings with a Vodafone mobile are a perk.

Couple of questions. If I've had VM fibre at the house will an engineer need to come to install?
Is the supplied router any good or worth buying a proper one with the amazon voucher?

    Cheers
    Mammoth's avatar
If you haven't had non virgin 'fibre' before then yes, you'll get a new line run by openreach no doubt.
  14. lovenkrands's avatar
After contacting Vodafone to check on activation, they have said my order was cancelled due to BT rejecting my transfer of an active line, found this out on live chat, who failed to understand it would have been good to have been notified of this, all i had was order confirmation and email saying DD was successfully set up. Called BT and they said there was no contact from Vodafone and free to transfer. Maybe I'll look elsewhere, Vodafone customer service doesn't inspire confidence.
    No1_Dave's avatar
yeah that's the worry with Vodafone. Also had problems last year when ordering broadband and phone line for a business premise, website won't let me complete checkout so had to do it over the phone, eventually got it sorted after many phone calls to overseas call centre.

Then because my package was a 3 years contract with 1st year free. Even though Direct Debit was all setup correctly at the time of order, after the first 12 months, Vodafone never start taking DD, so my account was put into payment overdue status and penalty charge was also put on, and all this time there was no email or phone contact saying payment was due! I just expected after the first 12 months Voda would start automatically taking DD, still did not get a reason why it didn't. So another round of phone calls were needed to sort that out.

Once it's up and running (using Openreach FTTC), it has been reliable and the router signal/coverage is acceptable. It's just the customer service when something goes wrong that's the worry/problem. (edited)

Anytime recommend Vodafone? I cancelled virgin last week and panicking for a WiFi solution 😃
    somaKing's avatar
    I cancelled Virgin last week.
Was on broadband only, 250mb @ £36pm. They called me today to offer 350mb @ £20pm for 18 months.
Was going to switch to Vodafone, but staying w Virgin now.

Might be worth waiting for Retentions to call
  16. Muzwell's avatar
    Why is everyone cancelling Virgin?
    Immortal-Cat's avatar
because virgin are terrible. They have awful routers and my wifi sometimes goes off. I’m switching to vodafone because its city fibre.

Once your provider lets us know you have completed your purchase we will update this page.

When does the status change to Purchased for the voucher?
    Wieczor's avatar
Would like to know that too

Activated today, got full speed so all good.

Pleasantly surprised with Vodafone router. It has a good range that is comparable to my own TP-Link XE75 (WiFi 6E), albeit it was a WiFi 5 router. Ping is 15ms on Vodafone router, and 20ms on XE75, surprisingly.

Get the broadband PPPoE credential via online chat - no issue.

Expecting VDF router at the end of this month, I will be using my AX11000 as access point. Is it easy to setup please? I am kind of blind in networking.

how do you get it if youre already an existing customer. only lets me choose the £40 a month option.

I can see the £30pm option. Naturally we miss out on the voucher and cash back

Thanks for listing the deals. We're coming up to the end of our Plusnet contract (currently £27.31 for 39 - 44Mbps) so this is good timing for us.

We can get the Vodafone 500Mb deal (£29 p/m) in our area so we've gone for that. Hopefully the £135 gift card will track ok on that. That's a good selection of companies. Some times you get the love2shop cards that only apply to retailers we never use. Either Amazon or Tesco would be very useful for us.
  21. spufmonkey's avatar
mine didn't track either.. remind me as well do i need to do anything for the £135 voucher?
*Edit - remebered i entered an email, just tracked gift and the purchase is not confirmed yet. Anyone else the same?

Same here my activation date is 19th so hope to see it confirmed then

*Monthly price shown plus all out of bundle charges will increase by the Consumer Price Index rate published in January of that year + an additional 3.9%. If you have a Device Plan, this will not affect your monthly Device Plan: vodafone.co.uk/pri…ges.

It wont increase this year as its advertised.
it will be misleading if they do and can be cancelled - though I believe it wont increase this year.

Does anyone know how long you have to be a customer to be classified as "existing", I need a new mobile provider as Tesco putting prices up too. A saving of 72 over 2 years would be decent. Thanks

£155 voucher two weeks ago, £105 voucher last week, £135 this week.... Tempted to wait and see what the offer is next week.

With regards to the gift card, is an email sent to you in due course? (edited)

Vodafone broadband is pants. I only had problems with them, loads of micro disconnections. Trying to get out of contract...please be warned
    FreakyGeek's avatar
Was this with the original supplied router and with full fibre (FTTP) broadband?
  33. lovenkrands's avatar
Has the price increased to £30 per month?
  34. matth5182's avatar
Had voda in the past, router was crap but once I'd bought my own and a bt whole home system it was great. Switching from now broadband to voda again in a few weeks, hopefully the full fibre will work well with my setup.
Are they still funny about giving login details for router? I remember having to try several live chat agents a few years back

Looking at jumping over due to Virgin price rises
  36. McShane's avatar
Seems like a decent price, no idea how good and reliable Vodafone are though. Regardless, went with it as the offer expires this week and picked end of the month for it to be installed so will now spend the time doing some research and cancelling Virgin, or see what they offer me to stay.
  37. missionary's avatar
I see the price of £30 discounted to £27 for mobile customer. However, the £30 is after a discount of £25, so actual price is £55/m. Will the price increase in 2024 be based on £27 or £55?
    kokoroko's avatar
Discount lasts for duration of contract

Even better offer than I got a few wks ago but looking forward to the speed and a massively better WiFi range than my crap hub 3 from virgin media ……. Good spot OP
  40. matth5182's avatar
It seems there is a Vodafone Advantage scheme for employees and NHS staff. You can register and get a code for a £100 amazon voucher when taking broadband - I wonder if this can be combined with the offer above or if having a work mobile with Voda entitles you to the £3/month discount.
Worth a shot - wish I had seen yesterday before I ordered!
