  • While it’s built to look like the mobiles of yesteryear, there’s some seriously powerful tech inside – the best of both worlds!

I purchased this yesterday and it arrived this morning. The £200 cashback claim was instantly processed, but the trade in website isn't accepting the IMEI:

Sorry, the code you entered is not active for this promotion.
Please ensure the IMEI/Serial# you are trying to verify is of your NEW device. Otherwise, please email us samsung@tradeinresponse.co.uk with the IMEI/Serial# you are attempting to validate along with a copy of your purchase receipt.

I emailed samsung@tradeinresponse.co.uk with the serial number and invoice and within a few minutes they replied saying they'd validated the IMEI. The website has now accepted it and I've submitted the form. All looks OK.

Had a z flip3. Beautifully designed phone. Was epic in my pocket, at the gym, etc and it's screen is bulletproof when closed.

Actually opening and using the screen however, had become a nightmare. repeatedly having to send it off for a month at a time for samsung to simply replace the screen protector to keep it in warranty, being told I need to pay 379 for a new screen when I had kept it pristine, and the cracks that formed down the crease ruined the phone. Such a massive shame, won't buy another foldable for at least another 3 years until the technology has caught up.

4 of my colleagues had fold 3s and were sworn into the samsung clan, and one by one, they have all purchased iPhone 14 pros and have vowed to never return.

Anyone know if ao.com would refund the difference as I bought this for £50 more 2 days before?
    FaithNoMore's avatar
They do and you have 7 days to claim if you see the price cheaper elsewhere or on their own site.

Look for the price match link in their site and fill that out with ao.com as the site that you want to price match.

I did it yesterday and it was approved very quickly.

A good deal, but would expect this to drop further when the Flip 5 is released in a month and a half's time (ish).

Let's hope so, but new at £399 may be hard to beat

Have a flip 3. After 12 months of use it had developed a rainbow like green pixels on the centre of the screen where it folds. I Sent it back to samsung as it was still under warrenty. They rejected it stating screen damage and voided my warrenty. Tried charging me £316 for the repair to which I declined. I stated my case however samsung was not interested whatsoever.
My phone was never without a case. I did notice very light scuff marks on the screen ( which is to be expected ) however this did not cause the pixel issue that had developed. Check forms samsung are fobbing lots of people off with these phones when problems arise with the screen. Be warned ⚠️

Yep, I have a family member who works at a phone shop.
He mentioned that the amount of people with Samsung Flips who've come in due to screen faults is astonishing.
That's the reason why the value of these flips drops dramatically.
Just go on ebay and find out.

Currys are doing 150 trade in too and I could use vouchers. Anyone know if I can I use with price match and get Cashback from Samsung. I would use the Samsung trade in but my trade is a Nokia 105 so not a smartphone and I think currys will take that....
  14. roadie's avatar
Do you have to pay the £750 upfront?

Then do you get the cashback off £200 in your account and how will the £150 work?
  15. ASeh's avatar
Currys is refusing to price match Flip 4, suggesting their offer includes additional benefits like 6 months Disney+, Free Voxi SIM, Free 3 month trial of Tastecard subscription etc.

Any suggestions how to make the price match work with them?
    roadie's avatar
I tried it also. But they are not agreeing.
    Tried over live chat

Received mine today but it has a sticker saying it is a resealed modified product and that it was not originally made for the UK market but for the eu market. It says the firmware has been modified and samsung have been notified of the changes.

Did anyone else receive theres with this? Seems a bit odd that a UK company like AO is selling a grey import.
    npinn001's avatar
They do this on mobile phones direct too, their sister site. They obviously get better pricing, but I prefer mine new and sealed.
  17. roadie's avatar
Anyone know how to do the trade in? Does that money come via cash also?
