This looks serious value vs the price of a 3060. I don’t think I’ll be able to resist this deal…

Hot enough to nuke itself, mine died literally just under the year warranty, was thankfully replaced. Great card despite that 😁. (edited)

No overclocking, was used in an Intel NUC Dragon Canyon. Plenty of fans in the case. GPU didn't even have much gaming hours logged either, just decided to die one day .

These will keep dropping. AMD releases their 7600 XT this month which will add further pressure to clear these old cards.

Is this worth it coming from a GTX 1080?

Will this run CoD MW2 at ultra / 1080p settings with no issues? Or do I need something bigger / better?

    Finally 3060 ti below MSRP.

I would get 6700xt instead. Lower power, more vram and faster

Hmmm too close to £300 for a low mid-range card that is 2.5 years old... I think £250 would be reasonable given the age and 8GB.

Age has nothing to do with whether a card is worth buying, performance for the price is what matters.
Regarding 8GB of VRAM, it's not a problem for 99% of games out there (this is a solid 1080p card).
The 1% that are a problem you just drop a few settings, hardly any difference in visual quality and no more VRAM problems.

    Simples. (edited)

I'm coming from a 2060KO and really can decide if 280 quid for this is worth it or a big enough upgrade to warrant the cost. (edited)

It's not really, might as well put the money towards something a tier up.

How does this compare to the cheaper: amazon.co.uk/ASU…8F2

Using this comparison tool says they've each got their advantages but it's not entirely clear which is better: versus.com/en/…per

Any advice would be great, thanks

Is this worth an upgrade over the gtx670 evga ftw 2gb? Or spend more to future proof myself? Been using my gtx 670 for 8 years

    Thoughts on 2 fan Vs 3 fan version? Also 3060 12gb Vs 3060ti 8gb?

From looking it up, 3060ti 8gb > 3060 12gb but increasing requirements of VRAM means 6700xt 12gb is the way to go (edited)

If they were all at the same price I'd get the 6700xt

GTX 670 passmark is 5,295 compared to RTX 3060 Ti passmark of 20,643, so almost 4 times the performance. Assuming you are pairing this with a more recent cpu - not something from 8 years ago. Then this is a great price for the performance.

I jumped from a GTX 1050 Ti (passmark 6,299) to a RTX 3050 (13,012) and it was a massive difference - the RTX 3060 Ti is miles ahead and I look forward to installing it later today.

Agree. Fair comment made but yet again the use of a Time Machine was needed with personal insults included.

The 4060ti is a better card, best case 10% faster but in some case the 3060ti is faster (YouTube it) . But at the current price being over £100 more. This current deal is great value for money considering the market etc.

I opted for the 2X version as apparently the 2X comes with 2x 8pin connectors whilst the 3X version, weirdly comes with only 1x 8pin connector?
