    That’s Finland, not Greenland!

We’ve visited Finnish Lapland quite a few times in recent years (we took the children to Iceland too and it was a bit wild!) - you don’t have to go very far beyond Rovaniemi to have some spectacular experiences.

We’ve started a blog (which isn’t yet fully published) focused on Lapland and Iceland if it’s of any help to anybody who’s thinking about this kind of trip…

    Lapland/Finland, not Greenland. Voted hot!

£250 for flights, another £400-500 (overpriced indeed, but these are the prices) for 4 to Santa's village with reindeer and husky rides and a few other extras, not bad. Plud 3-4 days in a hotel, no idea how much this costs, but certainly you'll get away much cheaper than the usual £4k price for taking the kids to see Santa. I may consider a DIY holiday to Lapland. I did this 5 years ago courtesy of cheap flights by Norwegian. Flew out early one day and stayed at Santa's village. Did bitesize husky ride, snowmobile, reindeer ride and see Santa all in one night for less than 1k for family of 4.

Great even for the aurora borealis. They only seem to fly on Mondays so it HAS to be for a week. Shame as I just wanted 3-4 days.

Mega deal, shame EasyJet stiff you by having to pay for even standard seats but even with that factored in, these are good flight prices. Booked.

Country discrepancy aside, I was reading a recent article that suggested Greenland is the next Iceland, but I've not visited either as yet.
