    Flown with them about 16 times over 12 months and only 1 flight was a bit delayed, people are over exaggerating

    I flew with Wizzair to Istanbul around 2 months ago.

    Everything was on time and no issues.

    I've used Wizz a few times, first flight was over 3 hours late but they did approve and compensate me very quickly. About £220 back so pretty happy. 2nd flight was about an hour late and 3rd flight on time. I found the on board experience very good and the crew was friendly. However, the stinger is the cost for luggage - I am travelling from Sofia to Luton in October and they want to charge me £100 for a suitcase. Ouch!

    Was looking for some flights recently on Skyscanner and wizz came up really cheap... until I add the luggage - was something like £132 return for one checked item!

    Add a suitcase for your return journey. You'll need it for all the Christmas presents you'll bring back. One of the most impressive cities I've ever visited. Have a cocktail on me in the Pera Palace Hotel's Orient bar after you've visited Agatha Christie's room. Stunning.

    cheap until you see the news about Wizz because this is rated the WORST airline for boarding, environment and seating they currently have lot of County Court judgements against them at the minute for delayed flights and cancellations! (edited)

    One of the reasons why Wizz are considered one of the safest airlines in terms of risk of going bust. They keep everyone's money and have huge cash reserves

    Park at Novotel using Justpark. Pay the shuttle driver £3 in cash or by card at the reception desk

    Members of Wizzair Discount Club get it cheaper by booking direct with the airline.

    always worth checking direct and other travel sites (for any flight deal) such as Kayak, SkyScanner & Momondo being my fave 3 in my experience. Lately LastMinute have come out well too.

    I booked for a Family of 6 so it was worth me paying £60 for the annual Family Discount Club membership. Saved £10 per ticket so net cost of membership was nil. Might use again next year.

    The family one allows member plus 5 companions.

    I have used WizzAir a few times; they have always been on time and, in my opinion, a tad better than other budget airlines.

    This is a budget airline, so if you expect budget airline levels, you should be fine.

    When there are issues, all airlines are delayed. I travelled business class with work a few times, and the aeroplane was delayed twice.

    The hotels in the Sultanahmet quarter are all 3*
    I have stayed at Aprillis a number of times and found it to be decent and close to the tram station.

    Weather wise not great thats why price wise its great for that time of the year. Wizzair, good airline somewhat questionable but overall its fine
