    I assume you can replace with custom firmware and remove the adds all together

    You can also contact Amazon and tell them that inappropriate adverts are turning up on your device that is being used by kids. They remove them without the fee.

    Yes they are fine for kids and quite robustly made and at that price there ideal.

    No GPS as far as I know and you can install Google play separately. But, it's a faff. Not only installing but even if you successfully installed it, the tablet only works with WiFi. Meaning you need to tether from your phone or download the maps before you go. There is also the where in the dashboard area you will mount it...

    Brought 2 of these 2 or 3 years ago for 45 each. lost one and now the other one has a smashed screen. But kids use them ALOT so have been waiting for the price drop again. Think I will be biting again at this price. (edited)

    They are not "kindle" so to speak but I use mine like any tablet to read and listen to books.

    I used to run the 10 inch as a sat nav in my 2017 Vauxhall Combo (same day courier), BT paired to a Garmin Glo and using the GPS Connector app (after Google-fying it obv), tethered to my phone and ran TomTom Go Navigation app on it without any problems. Expensive way of doing it, but it does work.

    In terms of a dash holder, I used the holder from amazon.co.uk/gp/…2U/ and then attached it to one of these bad boys amazon.co.uk/gp/…1DM
