sorted byThey had some 1p a month offers a few weeks ago with the price set for 3 months. It went super hot on here and they seem to have underestimated the response. It took an age to get the sims and then not long after, they changed the minimum term to 12 months and hid it behind a link in an email - they listed some other inconsequential fluff in the actual email but not the, "oh by the way, if you dont cancel by the 13th, you're actually locked in for 12 months"!
People on here played holy hell, they were reported to the ombudsmen, got hammered on social media and trust pilot etc and then, after huge numbers of people cancelled, realized the huge backlash they'd unleashed and then sent an email out saying that if you want to carry on, there's no 12 month lock in and, oh, if you've already cancelled, no problem, just contact customer services and they'll set next month up and keep the promo price running!
I actually tired to do that and was told in no uncertain terms, that wasnt an option! I then waited a day to hear from a supervisor who said they'd straightened things out and would comp me the next 2 months (a whole 2p) if I wanted to stay!
Plenty of people on here complained about the data speeds when tested side by side with their existing EE sim's as well.
(excuse the same reply on both TalkHome posts OP, but I was stunned at how poor of an operation this lot are!)
We rolled back on these updates due to the overwhelming response from many of our customers who wanted to resume their subscription on a monthly rolling plan.
Our support team has tried their best to accommodate our valuable customers, take onboard any and all feedback, and I understand how you still feel about this.
If there's a chance we can have you back in the future, we'd love to.
Have a great day.

We're working to roll out VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling capabilities on Talk Home soon. I do not have an ETA for when this will be available, but rest assured, it's in the works.

Good to know, cheers man
I'm sorry about your experience earlier. We rolled back the 12-month terms update due to an overwhelming response from our valuable customers.
Rest assured, our exclusive welcome offers are all monthly rolling plans, and you can cancel anytime.
We'll be more than happy to have you back, should you choose.

I don't have an ETA to share at this moment but we are indeed working on bringing eSIM, VoLTE, and WiFi calling capabilities to Talk Home.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

We do not currently have Wi-Fi calling, but it is in the works. I do not have an ETA yet to share with you, but Wi-Fi calling will be rolled out to our valuable customers in the coming months.
If you're interested in trying things out once Wi-Fi calling is available, please drop a message to cs-mobile@talkhome.co.uk, and we'll let you know soon as it is available.
Hope this helps.

Is there a 14 days cooling if period?
This is a monthly rolling plan. No contracts; you are free to cancel anytime. As per the plan T&Cs available on our website:
Let me know if you need anything else. Happy to help.

Also how is non-EU roaming so cheap? 1p/MB for SA, That’s amazing.
Also what 4g and 5g bands do you have access to? Band Nr28 for the 5g long range band? M
Many thanks (edited)
If i get 20gb £3 for 3 months(40gb in 1st month), how much data can i use in italy out of that 40gb within that 1st month?
Is there any data cap or upto “x”gb is allowed to use wile in EU? What would the maximum data allowance in EU(italy)? Please
Many thanks
No, we currently don't cap data allowances when roaming in the EU. However, please note that the free EU roaming does not include your double data allowance.
To simplify, you can use the standard 20GB data in Italy (or wherever in the EU), and the extra 20GB data you get for the first month can only be used in the UK.
Hope this helps.

We do not currently have Wi-Fi calling, but it is in the works. I do not have an ETA yet to share with you, but Wi-Fi calling will be rolled out to our valuable customers in the coming months.
I hope you'll give us another chance sometime in the future.
Have a great day, and apologies for the inconvenience our announcement might have caused.

Some of these include eSIM support, VoLTE, and WiFi calling.
Have a great day.

All our new user offers are now monthly rolling plans (this applies to all existing and all new customers), so you can cancel anytime. We're working hard to put things right, and a quick glimpse into our latest reviews might show you that.
Here's us hoping you'll give us a chance. If not now, maybe sometime in the future.
Have a great day.

Thanks for sharing your experience. We don't indulge in data shaping or throttling of any kind. Regarding your experience with Talk Home 5G:
The 50GB extra data is shown as a separate add-on inside your dashboard and on the My THM app. Rest assured, you'll get 100GB for the first month. Hope this helps!
Thank you.

After the first 3 months of subscription, you can cancel anytime - no refunds are applicable, the remaining allowances on the plan will be available for the remaining duration of the month after which they will expire.

What if the reception is non existent or pretty poor?
We don't offer eSIM services at present. This is, however, something we're working on and will be available in the coming months. I don't have an ETA to share with you, but please be assured that we're working on introducing eSIM capabilities for our valuable customers.
If you're interested in trying things out once eSIM functionality is available, please drop a message to cs-mobile@talkhome.co.uk and we'll let you know soon as it is available. If there's any possibility that a physical SIM card works, we'd love to have you today!
Have a great day.

I'm not into the 5G gimmick, with a couple of 100GB or less data allowance.
Only need that speed to download or upload tonnes of data real fast.
4G is capable of getting the job done just fine no probs.
Can we set a spending cap on the app or whatever? (edited)
Our monthly rolling plans automatically renew each month so that you won't be charged more than once each month for your subscription.
Secondly, our PAYG plans work just like add-ons and are only valid for a period of 30 days (unless you enable auto-renew), after which they expire. Auto-renewal will only take place after 30 days.
The same is true for our data bolt-ons, should you need more data.
The only area where a spending cap is required (and it is there!) is enabling auto top-up to add credit to your SIM card, which I'm sure you won't need as long as your payment method is credit card/PayPal.
Hope this information helps, and we'd love to have you with us!
Thanks.

Someone signed up and it says £15 a month which would be a total rip off.
I can confirm it is indeed a one-time charge of £15. Our customers who have subscribed to the 1-year SIM plan will also be charged just once and not per month.
Hope this helps.
