Comes to around £256 if you can pay in USD$ with a fee-free card.
If HMRC stops it, it could be +£51 VAT +£12 carrier handling fees extra - most slip through apparently but there's always a possibility. If so, it'll be £320 in total. (edited)

Mine slipped through twice seller mentioned it as a Bluetooth speaker once and cheap redmi phone the other

    Guessing it's the EU edition?

Grey import with import duty on top. Not worth it.

How much difference does the extra ram make between the 8gb and 12gb versions?

I thrash my phone, use it a lot, many apps running. I average 7.5GB+ of RAM usage out of the 12GB I have on my phone. My phone allows virtual RAM of 7GB as well, but I made sure that was disabled. 8GB RAM is the sweet spot on Android still. Anything more and maybe you'd have to be gaming with some games I've never heard of that use more than 8GB, but I don't know of any. Maybe you'd have a ton of she hit running and then game and it might run low on RAM and judder along. I think 8GB is fine for many people.

It's £20 more or thereabouts to upgrade, up to you. Not the end of the world if you decide to save the £20.

In the photos this phone looks like it is wider and shorter than a lot of new phones that seem to follow the trend of being tall and narrow? Is this the case? Thanks in advance.

Slightly, yes, compared to my son's X3 pro. Much thinner/lighter, though.

Just clicked through to the deal but after scrolling down I got distracted by the products offering growth of hair and er....another bodily part

Can you use it to 'plow'?

Bought this previously. Came as a bluetooth speaker, value $30.77.

I hope you got your money back if it arrived as a speaker

The 8GB version at this price from AE is not a great deal. If it were the 12GB version (which could be had for this price last month), id bite.

Really good price. Very nice device. A shame they stuck with the annoying always-on-display but only for 10 seconds on this model though.
    ht7485ud's avatar
Anyone know what the issue is with 10 seconds and the always on display? Why is this a problem? What should it be doing? Thanks

Hi chaps, help needed: This Poco F5 or the Honor 70 8GB/256GB? Both similarly priced. Not very tech savvy when it comes to phones so any advice appreciated. Thanks :-)

I just bought this phone from the Xiaomi UK website for £269. It's bloody fantastic!

Is it worth the upgrade from a Poco F3?
    Meltigemini's avatar
I did, worth it in my case as the F3 battery drained very quickly by then and I could give it to my wife. Faster to charge and snappier too.
