As someone who has provided Tech Support for the x280 model for nearly 5 years, it’s a very, very reliable laptop.
The main area of wear we see is the touchpad. The top layer has peeled away on quite a few of them, but it doesn’t affect functionality. Most other faults have either been user damage or exhausted batteries - nothing I wouldn’t expect after several years of constant use.

Grade C might be a hard sell for some.

Grade C: This item is fully operational and functions as intended but will have signs of medium to heavy wear and tear such as scratches on body and on screen, some scuff marks, dents, pressure marks or a crack on case.. Cosmetic damage does not effect performance or usability. Items still look good.

    Returns accepted though (edited)

The screen resolution is a harder sell. Just wait for another batch of Itzoo x280's. These are usually FHD.

Would this be suitable for children? My kids are always curious about the computer when they see me working from home with my laptop, keyboard and mouse. They like to go on MS Word and write their names in different colours. Was thinking of getting them some sort of training computer, but need something affordable to not break the bank / for a 3 and 5 year old to use

This would be fine for that. I think kids should become computer literate as young as possible.

Then they can fix everything for the oldies 😁

Yes seems a very good price for a good machine. I think the CPU is quad core.

How does laptop compare to the one below with 16gb from the same seller?

Intel Core i7 Windows 11 Laptop Lenovo X260 16GB RAM 256GB SSD HDMI Wi-Fi Webcam

X260 is older, with dual core CPU. It's thicker and heavier, though does have upgradable RAM and a swappable external battery Vs soldered RAM and internal battery on the X280.

Also X260 isn't officially Win 11 supported if that matters to you. (edited)

Very capable laptops in fairness and great price. Looks like the 768p screen, however, which would be a shame as the 1080p and 1080p touch and 4K versions have super screens, but by all accounts the 78p isn't great (dull). For half-blind folks who need to magnify up to 125%, grab a bargain!! ;-p

Voted HOT - grade C means I dont have to worry about getting smudge marks on it or spilling my coffee on it or even dropping it. Thanks op.

Cannot see the grading on the listing, does grade C mean faulty?

They're not. But you can expect dents or even cracks on the body.

Advice anyone? At the moment I'm using an old HP N40l microserver for Plex, radarr and Sonarr etc. It's a bit old a creaky now. Would a C grade laptop similar to this with a decent USB 3 hdd run better than the old microserver? (edited)

Yes but I'd keep the microserver to use as a dedicated Nas.

    3 questions
    1. is it usb c charging?
    2. what is the weight? ~1.2kg would be nice - given it is an ultrabook
    3. what battery life is expected? at least 2-3 hours would be great (edited)

picked up one of these on an earlier deal for £135.99 (newandusedlaptops4u) from this site. It was listed as "very good" and was immaculate (like new/unused) and the battery is great. Worth a punt but Grade C....I'd just say make sure you can return. They are great laptops.

Hi, so can someone in the know tell me if the screens are HD on these or no good? Currently got a 2012 imac which is about on its last legs and just fancy a laptop to use now and again. I'd bookmarked the x280 as people seemed to be saying great for price but lots of comments about the screens. Are the itzoo ones better??? Thanks

Spec on this looks fantastic for the price. I just wish it was a 2-in-1

Can anyone recommend something similar but with a tablet mode?
